Bought my cairn terrier from the pet store in chambersburg and this mobile vets does on the exams on the puppies, the vet stated mine had a double groin hernia and I bought her anyway. I took her to my vet who said she had no hernia and got a second opinion, he just laughed when I told him who the mobile vet was. That should tell you what kind of knowledge and care you will get.

My sixteen year old german shepard was part of our family. Unfortunately age took it's toll and it was time to say our goodbyes. We wanted to bury him at home. Keystone Mobile allowed us to hold him and say our goodbyes in the privacy of our own home. He passed in my arms with my children at his side and was buried in our yard. The cost was half of what the vet would charge. We didn't need to cart him into the vet and carry him back home afterward. My family and I truly appreciate this service and I would recommend to anyone. The vet and his assistant were very understanding and professional. I was able to get an appointment quickly and they were right on time. I was unable at the time, but would like to thank them for what they did for Buddy and my family!

I had an emergency with my 13 yo male cat. He was vomiting yellow fluid, he didn't eat, poor coat and he was losing weight. He was also lethargic. I call Keystone...you would think being a mobile vet they would come to you for emergencies, not the case with Keystone. I called several times and gave them his symptoms. They told me to keep food and water away from him for 12 hours. I did but it did no good. He nibbled a little and drank little water. He just layed around and didn't play or anything. I called again to Keystone, all they were worried about is the appointment, ..."if we have a cancellation, we will come out." On Saturday 6-4-2011 he was weak and didn't eat all day. Keystone Mobile was no dang help. I took him to Palmyra Animal Clinic who handles emergencies. And at the clinic the vet Dr. Kauffman was soooo nice and very compassionate. The Dr. gave my cat a thorough exam and with the symptoms I describe could tell of his conditon. We left the cat with the Dr and the next day, the bad news about the chronic renal failure and by Monday his kidneys shut down completely. I held his paw for his last minutes. Keystone mobile needs to "PARK IT". I also had an annual shots for my other 2 cats. I did let them get their annual shots. The vet was no help...terrible bedside manner. And they don't communicate...and they expected me to bring out the cat that died. When I told him what happen, he just smiled and said I'm sorry. Me too, because you have lost this customer. And hope this helps you in your decision NOT to chose this vet. Thank you good night.

My review isn't of the vet, but SNAP. I HOPE the DVM reads this and knows with whom he's associated .....

March 28: I called SNAP to schedule a male cat ($25) and a female cat ($40) for neuter and spay.

March 29: I received a call back from ??Dennis.? I scheduled both my cats for surgery on Sat, April 2, at 9:30 AM at the mobile vet located at Kreitzer??s Automotive Services.

March 30: at least 48 hours prior to the appointment, I called SNAP and left a message on ??Mailbox 5,? a ??Mr. Olney??s? (?) mailbox stating that I would not be bringing the female cat for surgery on Saturday, but I would still be bringing the male cat. I also stated at that time that I would now like the male cat to receive the distemper and rabies vaccines. The total of surgery now being $45 with the vaccines for the male only. I also sent a follow-up email on this date to SNAP regarding the same and asking them to contact me if there were questions, or if I needed to complete other paperwork. I had not received any response to neither the email nor the voicemail.

April 2: I took my male cat to the mobile vet for his 9:30 AM appointment along with $45 CASH and the Surgery Confirmation and Instructions on which I indicated the changes, i.e, male only for surgery and vaccines. Upon entering the office, and preparing for the surgery and vaccines, I had the $45 CASH in the envelope with my paperwork and directions. An older woman asked for my paperwork, a young girl asked if she could zip tie my carrier closed, and ??Dennis? asked for $45. Thinking that my messages were received, I didn??t question anything. I didn??t receive a receipt. I was told it would be about an hour and the next person was helped. This took a total of about 5 minutes at the very most. After retrieving my cat and getting home, I realized that they did not give me any paperwork of any kind. I figured they would be sending me the rabies vaccine information in the mail.

April 6: I received no info so I sent an email re the rabies and distemper vaccines and was informed that I did not pay for the vaccines; that I only paid $25 for the male to be neutered.

My question is this ? how did ??Dennis? know I was only bringing the male cat since he states that I only paid $25?? When, originally, I was to be bringing a male and female for surgery at $65?? Obviously, he received a message that I was only bringing the male and in those messages, I indicated that I now wanted the vaccines. I also paid $45 CASH.

I would like to have either my $20 returned, or my cat vaccinated.

And you wonder why you pay CASH ONLY!!

They are a wonderful service for what they provide. They are convenient when you have multiple pets and can it get it all done in one shot. They have always called me back to check on my pets. When my older dog was dying, they stopped to drop off additional medicine and did NOT charge me for an office visit. Yes, they run on a schedule by locality, and I know if I have an emergency to get my pets to an Animal Hospital. But they have always been very caring and even have received sympathy cards when my pets have passed away. I have been using them for around 20 years!

I had used Dr. Murphy and his staff for years and although I never had the best service, I stayed for the convenience. However my beloved Lab had a series of seizures and it was 7 in the morning. Mind you she has never had any health issues previously. When we called the receptionist she was terribly rude and insensitive, and when we did finally reach the Vet he wouldn't do anything for us because we needed to make an appointment, but it has to be between the hours of 8am to 5pm or your out of luck, To make a long story short we rushed our lab to Best Friends Animal Hospital and we had NO APPOINTMENT and we were never a customer of theirs previously. Murphy is clearly more concerned with making money than having some compassion for peoples families. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS, and as far as keeping my opinion to myself, absolutley not, this is a review page people should know the truth! Dr. Murphy you should open a bank so you can keep your hours and take peoples money it would be much more fitting for you!

Dr. Murphy, his wife and staff are all very loyal, loving animal people and if you have never been on the "Vet" side of life......keep your negative opinions to yourself. Tell me the last time the vet came to your house and you didn't have ten other things for them to do other than the distemper shot they came to give!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work guys! Merry Christmas. D

Absolutely the worst vet in this world! No call backs! No Bedside manner! No emergency calls! When you call his office for advice you immediately get scammed to set up an appointment even though he was just here! Take the time to cultivate a relationship with your local vet clinic because this service has no desire but to take your money! I have finally had enough!! It may seem like a time saver..but if your pet is in need of immediate attention or advice....trust me you WILL NOT GET IT HERE!!!

A great service for those who can't get out or who's pets will not go to the vet. We have been using them for well over 10 years and have been completely satisfied with their services, they are prompt, take time with the pets, take time to answer any and all questions, a better price than most vets. I highly recommend Keystone Mobile Veterinary Service.

We spent over $300 for our puppy to be seen several times and didn't get to the bottom of his thirst problem. We were told to limit his water to 2 cups a day! One visit to another vet and it was determined that the puppy has had e-coli ever since we've had him. This new vet went beyond a litmus test for a UTI and got to the problem in one day and did more that a Ph test.

The service was prompt and the vet was thorough. He updated all the cats' shots in the time I normally would have sat in the waiting room at their regular vet. I was impressed with the way the vet and the tech handled the cats and kept them under control and calm. Even though it was quick, I was happy with the answers I got about my oldest cat and the vet's suggestions to help my heavy cat lose weight. It was worth every penny.

Keystone Vets is great for those owners with multiple pets or pets who get stressed in a vehicle. The entire operation is clean and professional. They are on time and treat each animal kindly..Emergency treatment is best left to a local vet because of availability. Routine surgery, shots and non life threatening ailments can all be treated in my driveway. I usually have at least 5 animals excluding the strays treated every year.

Keystone Mobile vets come to your house to treat your pets. They are very prompt with appointment times. Very caring and friendly with both you and your pet. Have found their prices to very close to the prices you pay to take you pet to the vet. Nice clean facility and they can do more than routine shots and checkups in their mobile unit. Highly recommend if you do not want to travel with your pets. Their service area is quite large.
