The nurse was unnecessarily rude to my partner and I. She talked down to us and acted as if we were wasting her time by being there. The doctor was more polite but was very dismissive and rushed us out.

I have on two occasions needed to use their services due to accidents in my home. On both occasions I received excellent service from a friendly staff. They took time to explain the various steps in their treatment which included a great number of stitches and the accompanying treatments. On the second trip there I remarked to the doctor that I was glad they were open so that I didn't need to go tho the emergency room and face a very long wait. He then let me know that if I had done so I would have had him stitching me there as he was the doctor on call for the emergency room. So I would have had the same doctor but it would have taken several hours longer and been much more expensive. They carefully explained what I should do when I returned home and didn't charge me for the follow-up appointments, despite me having to return on three occasions due to concern of inflection. In short, although I hope to not need their services for some time, they were wonderful, and I am glad they are there should I need them.

I was referred to the Ermergicenter by my insurance company while I was attending college in Allentown. It took them over an hour to see me, with an empty waiting room. The doctor did a very limited examination, and sent me home with antibiotics- ignoring the request from my home primary physician for a mono-test (and mono was going around the college at the time- and found out I did have mono and a swollen spleen when I saw my doctor at home the following week). At check out, the staff was very friendly, but unknowledgable. I had two insurances, and with all the time they had to check on my insurance (hour in the waiting room- and another hour waiting in the room and getting the exam), they were asking me what I owed. I payed the standard co-pay required from my primary insurance for emergency care visits, and asked they refund me if my secondary covered any of the visit. Now three years later, I am checking my credit report, and find out I owe them money, and have been sent to collections, without ever receiving a bill from their office. (I would have complained to my insurance company and dealt with them correctly, if I had actually gotten a bill!) Not only did I get poor service, a wrong diagnosis, and unneeded antibiotics, I now have a blemish on my credit report from their inability to bill correctly.
Pros: location, walk-ins taken
Cons: poor communication, untrained staff

Upon calling for info, front desk stated they do not take appts - first come, first served only. What a load of donkey dust! Upon arriving at this facility, the 1st thing I was asked by front desk is whether or not I had an appt!
I was left sitting & cooling my heels in waiting area for well over an hour. Much to my dismay, someone who came in long after I did, was taken to see the dr immediately & this person DID NOT HAVE AN APPT nor was he in any obvious discomfort!
When I was finally taken to an exam room, it was another 30 min before I was seen by a nurse. The nurses & other med staff are very efficient & personable. The dr however left much to be desired. He had the personality of an armadillo.
I was there for well over 3 hours. The dr & the front desk informed me that someone would call me first thing in the am with x-Ray & CBC Results. HA! When I did not hear anything from them by mid-morning, I placed a phone call & stated the nature of my call. I was asked to leave my name & phone # & was told my message would be "passed along." It is now late afternoon & no one has had the courtesy of returning my call.
URGENT CARE? No, not at this facility. You could drop dead here & they wouldn't even notice. While going to a Good Hospital ER would result in a much higher co-pay, the wait would be much less, the dr much more efficient & follow-up the following am would be done in a timely manner.
Hell would freeze over before I would recommend this facility to anyone, let alone return there ever again. THUMBS DOWN!
Pros: Parking, Nurses, X-Ray Tech
Cons: Waiting Time, Dr's Bedside Manner, Failure to Follow-Up As Promised, Failure to Return Phone Call

Doesn't care about anything. No need to go to a place like that when you aren't cared about. There are good doctors there and wonderful nurses, it's just a shame that they work there.
Pros: Good hours
Cons: Poor management
