I've always loved this store. I think every town should have a store like this. It is nice to be able to get pre-owned CD's at very affordable prices. You may even find something that you forgot you wanted, or didn't realize was out there. They also have new music and some DVD's as well. The owners are very nice and you can sell your used CD's as well as long as the condition looks good.

This is an ideal place to have nearby to buy music and movies. I typically go for CD's. Not only can you buy them used at a very affordable price, you can also sell them your used CD's as long as they are still in used condition. I buy through sellers on Amazon often, but this is a nice way to get it quick. The owners are really nice as well. Now that I think of it, I'm due for a visit here.

I realize we're in the digital age, where most people get their music as a download from the Internet, but I'm old school. I love CDs; I love their physicalilty and the fact that you can learn a lot about a person by perusing their CD (or record) collection. I like liner notes and album covers and all those things that are harder to get from some bits and bytes on an iPod. And while I buy most of my CDs new from Amazon or some other online retailer, occasionally it's nice to go to a bricks and mortar store and look for something you didn't even realize you were looking for.

That's where Disc World comes in. It's a small used CD store in a strip mall on Ridge Pike. The selection isn't huge, but it's interesting, with a few records, some DVDs, and a good number of CDs. The majority of them fall under the Rock/Pop category, though they have a decent selection of jazz, country, classicall, R&B, as well. You never know what you're going to find, as it depends on what people have brought in to them, but every time I've gone in I've managed to find something I need--all at about 3.99 to 7.99 a disc. They also have a frequent buyer card: buy 12 CDs (minum price 5.99) and your next one (maximum value 7.99) is free.

I've never brought any discs in to sell (I'm a hoarder, and even those horrible CDs I bought back in the '80s still have a place in my collection), so I can't comment on the value given. But if you like browsing for hidden gems to add to your collection, this is a great place to go in the 'burbs.
