The best ice cream anywhere. The flavors are stupendous. Especially the fruit flavors. Try the corn ice cream, too.

We love going there for corn ice cream but others seem to love lots of other flavors as well.
You can sit on the street of a beautiful little town eating an unusual treat.
I must try Toasted Coconut soon too!

Creamy delicious ice cream in fun flavors to try, if you can tear yourself away from the favorites. We like Peanut Butter (Cacahuate!) and the Rocky Road is outstanding - not like your average store brand at all. Mango with chile pepper on top and Corn with cinnamon are also great, but the best on a hot summer day is their Lime Ice - not that artificial flavor you get at the local water ice joing, the real thing. What a treat! The people are friendly and it is always packed, so you'll probably see someone you know while you're there. and if you can't get to the main shop downtown, local Mexican grocery stores have their ice cream bars, which aren't quite the same, but are very tasty!

Pros: Real Ingredients, Creamy Texture, Choice of Flavors

Cons: Not open in Winter

La Michoacana features both Mexican and traditional ice creams in this small "tienda" on the main drag in Kennett. They have over 50 different flavors available, but the selection each day includes between 20-25 choices. Flavors range from vanilla to cucumber chile. All are served (depending on the day) in cups or in pre-made ice cream bars. We've tried and liked the mint chocolate chip very much and the vanilla is good too. The bread pudding and banana flavors must be more of an acquired taste though. The ice cream is very reasonably priced ($1.25 for a small that is not all that small and is quite filling).
