What you see is what you get at Sweat. It's always clean, with up-to-date and well-maintained equiptment. The staff is beyond freindly, and this location offers a lot of classes. I take the spinning classes (it's a real workout, although they refuse to change the name to something more gritty) with Laura and Audrey, both unique and the classes zoom by.

If you want drug attics to train you this is the place!
by Anonymous
I agree with the one of the other posting about attitude. The gym it self seems welcoming, but after joining I quickly realized from over hearing personal trainers that most of them are clearly drug attics.
While trying to get guidance from one of the 'popular' trainers/managers, I waited patiently by and was surprised at how freely they talk about there weekend parties partying.... after hearing that I walked out.
Though the gym is primarily gay, something I have no problem with but putting out $1,000 for 10 sessions for a trainer who pumps himself full of drugs just seems pointless and foolish to take advice from.
The "management" laughed as I tried to mention it to them, of course I found out later that one of them is a drug user.
If you want attitude, guidance from drug attics, just check the place out and you will figure it out soon enough...
If you want the truth, just ask the trainers to take a drug test ... I would not be surprised if half the staff would be fail.
No wonder Sweat Gym seems to be so popular and expanding all over Philadelphia.
Save your money! And just look elsewhere, it's not worth the aggivation!

SWEAT GYM

Good gym, up-to-date equipment. Hours are great and they are open 365 days/year. Staff can be a bit intimidating, but mngr and front desk person who opens on weekends are nice. Always clean. Need more cable channels on the cardio equipment.

Bright yellow machines are a bit much

The cardio machines are enough to burn holes in your retinas but the class room is mellow = wood floors and dimmer lighting. The pilates class with Kristin is great, a workout that you feel the next day with the relaxing and invigorating benefits of a good yoga class.
