Our party of 10 ate there back in March of 2010 for a birthday celebration. Fascinating place - saw them blowing glass downstairs, then strolled through the gift shop. Got a table on the upper level with a great view of the Brandywine

Pros: glassblowing, building, view, wine list

Simon Pearce is a beautiful place for fine dining. The restaurant overlooks a lovely lawn and the river. The food is consistently excellent as is the service.

Very open restaurant, but the glass blowing is the main attraction. My work team held its holiday party there a few years ago, and truly it was fascinating. The artists will talk with you about their craft, and you can see/buy their items in the gift shop. The food is fabulous for small groups or large. Plus, this used to be the Lenape Inn. My sister had her reception there, and the view in the back beyond the river is just beautiful.

This is a neat restaurant in unique surroundings. As part of the world famous glass blowing factory, you can visit the store and see some glass blowing afterwards. The food is delicious, with lots of windows.

My husband and I have been to Simon Pearce on several occasions(mostly for anniversaries) and I also hosted a bridal shower at the restaurant. They offer world class dining, with a focus on local ingredients, and it is all set in a beautiful atmosphere. Attached is a glass blowing workshop, as well as a shop filled with all their wonderful products including less expensive seconds.

The food has always been superb, the environment is soothing (you can see the Brandywine River) and the service has usually been great. We had one bad experience with a waitress who did not check in on us and was slow to get to us, but thankfully that is not the norm.

The shower I hosted went off very smoothly, and the food was delicious! It has a wonderful room that is completely private for hosting events.
