I read the prior review and think it's odd -- the two studios here aren't all that small and they are very pleasant. Anyway, my fencing teacher is top notch and has taught here for years. And I took a Pilates-yoga class a few times on Sunday mornings and that is the best. The program offerings are huge and there's no registration fees. Everyone who runs the program seems well informed and eager to help. Drumming, meditation, self-defence. My wife has taken several kinds of dance classes here. I recommend it.

PROS: Location, quality/training of teachers, very fair fees, types of classes
CONS: If you want to do heavy daily workouts, a gym is better

I love this sunny little studio b/c it's located across the street from Weavers Way (food cooperative) & the instructors are terrific. The problem is, the space is very tiny, the classes are way too big, & the teacher turnover is very high. It's frustrating falling in love with a class & then finding out, 2 sessions later, that the teacher's gone. On the plus side, the offerings are pretty diverse, with dance, pilates & yoga being the most popular. They're pretty laid back about letting you make up classes, even on different days. Prices are very reasonable here. Watch out for the parking situation though. This is a tight block with some very angry neighbors on Carpenter Lane, so be careful where you park. Or better yet, walk.

PROS: good teachers, lots of classs
CONS: high teacher turnover, cramped studio space
