Very elegant atmosphere. Gourmet food. A bit expensive but worth the extra pennies. Great veal chops. Very upscale for a pizza place, and a good bar to boot.

I've been to Primavera around 4 times. The only thing that kept me coming back is one of the bands that plays there. I was never impressed with the service or the food, but never felt inclined to write a review. My last visit to Primavera changed that however with the worst service I have experienced to date. I will leave out the disgusting details of the things I saw in the restroom, but will mention I saw employees leaving without washing hands. We sat outside on the patio, right next to the bar, but could not order drinks from the bar while waiting for our waiter ever 30 minutes to take drink orders. (bartender said they cant mix the restaurant bill and bar bill so they can see where they make their money) The restaurant was not busy and This makes we wonder why it took so long for our waiter to serve us.

Aside from the food being cold when served, the pizza looked like it fell on the floor and was placed back on the plate. This wouldn't surprise me considering some of the other things I saw by employees. As I traveled to find a manager to complain about the night, I tapped on one of the hanging glass light that hang over the bar. The General Manager of the store saw the light swinging and asked "who touched my lights" (seemingly to his employees) so I spoke up and said "I did". He proceeded to yell at me as if I was his child and used extreme language and asked me to leave the restaurant. The fact that I was coming to complain about my service, and was greeted by this poor excuse of a manager kicking me out of his restaurant for touching a light set me off. I was so irate I forgot why I was coming to find him in the first place. As he escalated in his anger to make me leave IMMEDIATELY, I also fired back with rude comments as to his unprofessionalism. I did in fact leave in disgust after he threatened to all the police.

Pros: Like the bands that play friday nights

Cons: Everything about this place. The services was horrible from management all the way down to the bartender.

I recently went to The Primavera Pizza Kitchen in Downingtown PA to pick up 6 12" Pizzas totaling $80.00 with tip. I then asked the bartender for 8 Styrofoam cups for the party in which I was supplying the pizza. She said no problem. Then a man, who I assume was the owner or manager, came over and instructed her to charge me $0.25 a piece for them. He then told me to go to BJ's to buy cups if I needed them because that is where he got them. Seeing as the restaurant was completely empty I thought this guy must really need the money if he could not comp me 8 cups which he probably paid not more that $0.08 for total. The bottom line is that the guy was awful at his job and practically yelled at me after I generated more revenue than he would over the next 4 hours. I will never return to The Primavera Pizza Kitchen in Downingtown and would never recommend it to anyone that actually wants a pleasant dining experience.

Pros: I only to wait for my take out thankfully.

Cons: Awful customer service. A Total Joke
