Wow! As a small business owner in these tough economic times it is far and few between you see businesses trying to self destruct. A little bit of information is necessary to start. After much research online into the new bind-n-fly radio control airplanes and systems I decided that I would like to do business with a smaller mom and pop brick and mortar shop instead of online to support my local small business community. I found this local hobby shop that had a decent website presence and figured I would like to do business with them. With $1000.00 cash in pocket to spend as I wished I drove to Z's Rc Hobbies to have a look around and hopefully purchase or order if I had to, 2 radios and computer trainer systems for my father and I or an otherwise package as such. Upon entering the store I perused what they had as the attendant was busy repairing an rc car for a customer waiting with his young son. The attendant addressed me saying he would be with me in a few minutes. I acknowledged by stating he could take his time. After the waiting customer was told his car would be done in about 20 minutes, he left. The attendant very soon after asked what I was interested in. I told him I was interested in rc electric airplanes and was searching for a radio and training package for the winter months to help me get started. He asked like those, pointing to a trainer display setup they had on an end cap of shelves and I said yes especially the one that comes with a radio and everything. He promptly stated that oh we do not have those and that I would need to go to hobby hut and they would have everything I need. I expressed my concern that I wanted to keep my business local and he said they get that a lot. Wonder why? I also asked if they had separate radios and trainer systems available. He said no they don't carry them and they take a long time to get obviously not wanting to be bothered any more. He explained that he was not the owner and only a weekend attendant. I asked where this other place was and he told me but it sounded further away than what I would like to spend my money. He said oh you can order it from us but it will take at least 3 weeks or so obviously trying to discourage my purchase. I expressed my concern with the situation, wanting to buy from them but politely left the store extremely disappointed and I would say rather offended. Lately I have wondered why so many brick and mortar stores are closing but now I have the answer! They are eliminating themselves! They can blame it on the internet all they want but in the end when you blatantly try to discourage buyers from dealing with you eventually you will have no more buyers left. With all do respect to the owner, he may not know what is happening but isn't that a part of small business ownership? I know it is in mine and customer satisfaction is always key to continued success. I don't care how good this store is or what they might have in the future. I would never buy from them if they had the last item left in the country of what I needed. As far as I'm concerned their vendors should be pulling their dealership as this is an extremely poor business practice that reflects on the manufacturers as well as the store. If you decide to try this store I wish you good luck and hope you have a better experience than I. Maybe you will be looking for something they are interested in selling you and you will have better luck. In the meantime I guess I will be spending my money elsewhere and definitely be spreading the word on the treatment I received. Thanks for reading and good luck. I guess it's off to hobby hut I go.

I have been going to JC/RC for years. After having the new ownership i have seen such an improvement with customer sales, relations, and quality of products. The Owners of the store are very knowledgable with what is out on the market, and are able to help with any question or problem that may come about. I highly suggest going to JC/RC in the Future for all of your RC Needs!
