Greater Dover Dance Academy helped me prepare for my future. I didn't know it while I was dancing with the company. The teachers taught me well, and I'm blessed to be able to teach students in the similar ways that my teachers, there, taught me. The company really helped me improve my dancing, and also my performance on stage.

I definitely would recommend Greater Dover Dance Academy in the ways they train their dancers. There are two companies--the junior company and the senior company. The junior, and senior companies require their members age twelve or older. I don't know about the present, but when I danced with them, that was the way the requirements went. The catch is, one had to take more dance classes if he/she wanted to join any of the companies.

While dancing with them, you learn a bit about the history of dance as well. There are lots of things that I didn't know about in the history of dance until my instructors pointed them out to me. Your knowledge of dance history increases, and as a teacher, I have had the enjoyment of teaching my students some dance history as well as the moves.

The five-week, annual, summer intensives are well organized. There are special guest teachers who come from around the Eastern States of the US-- just to teach the students dance! It's a great privilege to be taught by these professional teachers.

Check out Greater Dover Dance Academy. My kids had fun and made good friends learning beginning ballet and tap. Gina runs the studio. She's professional and well trained.
