So much to say! Amazing atmosphere, great beers (and I don't even like beer that much) and excellent food. Also, the staff is always very friendly. This place is so unique in so many ways. If you're in Slippery Rock, you must stop and visit! And don't rush... enjoy your time making sure you soak up everything they have to offer

To start with the place is extremely undersized for a restaurant trying to project a comfortable family atmosphere. There is absolutely no parking, which made it extremely difficult for me to safely take my children to dinner (we had to cross a very busy street with no crosswalk to get there). The beer was warm, and from what I hear from some colleagues this is pretty common for this place. The band night that they have on Monday's is always a huge dissappointment! The food is sub par and the steaks are extremely fatty! I probably won't visit this place again.

Response from this business:

Hi there Dining Critic Tom, Our building was resurrected from a vacant, falling down series of additions that began in 1805 and ended with the last addition in 1924. In 1998 we purchased and began restoring and reusing on site materials to open our dream within the space that we had. I apologize for the tight spaces-but usually folks make due and actually adds to the camping, friendly atmosphere. You seem to like Camelot's as I do too-so I'm perplexed that you would have to cross the same busy street as you say, from the community parking lot that both Camelot's and we share. Again, I apologize for whatever it is you don't like-which seems to be everything-and am glad that you found another business/friend in our community that you do like and will visit.

Cant beat this places atmosphere and the beers are on Par with Victory Brewing Co. An interesting historical house from the 1800s, the first floor is like a small Irish cottage. Food is awesome, brews are about $2.75. Try the IPA

For something different try North Country Brewers. It is a unique place with a good menu, many different types of beers, friendly service. They even let me order a kids meal when I wasn't very hungry. How great is that?

North Country Brewing Co. Is one of your best options in the Slippery Rock area. The atmosphere can't be beat. All of the woodworking was done by a local artisan carpenter, the beer is top notch and brewed in the front window of the restaurant, top quality, locally sourced menu options, eco-friendly to-go containers, straws and cups make this a destination in an of itself. The food is great, the service is fast and friendly, live bluegrass bands are featured every Monday evening and the atmosphere cant be beat!
