Doesn't exist anymore!  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

After finding out that this location didn't exist anymore (three phone calls- extremely annoying) - I fould the other Bradley's Books on the 9th floor of the Macy's Department Store building in downtown Pittsburgh. The selection was the worst I've ever seen, compared to places like Half Price Books. There is a sign in the store that claims to offer discounts - and most of what I saw in the new book sections were over 5 years old and there were absolutely no discounts offered - in fact, the sign was vague about what was actually discounted. The discounted sections consisted of books I wouldn't even give as gifts. I was told that they could order a book for me - but the wait was longer than what you would get from ordering online! The only positive thing I can say is that the sales lady was very sympathetic and tried to be helpful. It truly is a shame that the only bookstore in downtown Pittsburgh isn't even worth a browse . I left with a book I didn't want because I felt like I had to leave with something after the hassle of parking in the city. I think I'll spend the extra gas to continue shopping at Half Price Books - the better bargain bookstore with clearly defined discount policies.

Great Book Store!  4 Star Rating - Very good

Another great find in Pittsburgh. If you love bargain hunting for books, Bradley's Book Cellar is the place to explore. They have a huge assortment of books, some new and a lot used. Their new 2006 calendars were marked down 25% already, and the majority of their books are marked down almost half price.

Upon entering, I sifted through a $1 bargain table and found a wonderful book on English travel. I also picked up a Fodor's 2 tape set of learning conversational Italian, for only $6.95 (half price). This store is definitely worth browsing. Make sure you have time; my only complaint was the books were not arranged in alphabetical order, so it was difficult to find a particular author.
