WCADCC as it is known is a decent, caring school staffed by mothers and caregivers who truly care about our kids. Our daughter LilyAnna has grown up there and is now entering kindergarten. We recently moved to Exton and both my husband and I work outside of WC now so we must regretably move our daughter to another center. Miss Gloria in the infant room as been there for 26 years I believe, Miss Gina has been there for over 20 years as has the Director Miss Betsy and many other teachers have quite a few years in service. Their turn over rate is very low. Yes, students from the University do volunteer there because they are getting their degrees in education and they have to have so many hours/credits at WCU before they can volunteer. Our daughter has been well taken care of over her years there. As a first time mom I confident in leaving my infant in Miss Gloria's capable hands. In fact, the school cares so much that when some of the parents noticed other parents leaving the school and NOT having their young children in car seats/booster seats the school addressed our concerns and tried to educate said parents in the dangers of not securing their children in their vehicles. How can that be the action of an uncaring school? They have issues there like any other child care center but they listen to the parents and strive to make a difference in the lives of both children and families. Miss Betsy's door is always open and she and the other staff will listen to you if you approach them with your concerns in a calm reasonable manner just as you would wish them to treat you. I have yet to see another school, and as a former nanny and later a preschool teacher myself I know whereof I speak, offer parents classes in money management and other family issues not to mention offer the support the staff of WCADCC does to its families. If you are looking for a loving, caring, supportive center for your children and your family you should look no further than WCADCC.

As the other reviewer stated, there are lots of volunteers here, so if you are looking for non-professional child care, this is the place. The daytime teachers are OK, but the free for all starts when they leave. Lots of part time, untrained staff, high turn over with this group. The tuition is inexpensive, and this is a case of you get what you pay for.

The communication between care givers and parents when present, is horrible. If you ask specific questions, you will usually get an answer but they don't like to be questioned. If you don't ask questions, you'll never hear from them. I think this shows how much they just don't care.

They seem way too concerned about the things they shouldn't have to - for example, there was a letter sent out to all the parents stating that they need to put the kids in child seats while in the car. Yeah, we know that. Why don't you worry about keeping my daughter from getting bit 4 times a week instead of worrying about what I do with my kids when I leave?

My husband's friend said when they had their kids enrolled there, they gave them popcorn as an afternoon snack - to 2 year olds! Hello, first on the list of choking hazards.

PROS: cheap tuition, serve breakfast and lunch
CONS: Untrained staff, poor communication, old equipment/toys, no vacation credits or sibling discounts.

I volunteered here with a friend while attending West Chester University. The good thing about this day care is a lot of students have supervised volunteer time here so they teach the children a lot of new skills. For instance, a friend and I went to read Spanish to the children and teach them some words. The workers here seemed really nice and the children were happy. It has a spacious and clean play area and a lot of nice toys. The best part is, the children seem to learn a lot and have good supervision at this center.
