I go to Ewe and I on a regular basis and I love the wide and beautiful selection of yarn they have available. I also have found the staff very helpful, even when I've bought the yarn someplace else. It's sort of clubby, actually, and anyone can join by just sitting at the table and jumping into the conversation. They also have a very nice knit night on Wednesdays and that seems to grow every time I'm lucky enough to attend.

I had a project in mind. One woman helped me for a few minutes then left me with second woman, who was on the computer, and who never paid attention to me after the initial computer search. It was as though they had shown me a pattern and one type of yarn and that should satisfy me. I wanted to look at other yarn and possibly other patterns. There was no enthusiasm nor support. I would skip this pitiful replacement for the original store in Bryn Mawr.

Ewe and I moved from Bryn Mawr to Narbeth. the new store is dreary and drab and the front window looks like it was thrown together in 5 seconds. if i hadnt known the store name from the previous owner, i would have never have gone in. The new owner is rude and is unwilling to help, (doesnt seem like much of a knitter herself) yet the person who helped me was nice. Needs some personality and positive energy, which should be the first thing a knitting store needs to have!! yarn selection not exciting. nothing different from other stores in area. Take a pass on this one. definatly not a destination knitting shop.

This is a great shop for the knitter, crochet buff or needleworker. There are so many instruction books, varied and unusual yarns as well as an excellent selection of tools. The owner, Sue is wonderful and helpful. Other staff can be cranky. Classes are offered at the shop but seem to be held right out in the middle of the very small store. It is slightly awkward to walk into the store and shop around while a class is being held there. Parking is tough, but usually not a problem unless the other stores/restaurant in the shopping area are busy. Worth going to this shop for the ideas and huge variety.
