Many of the reviews on this site reference legitimate concerns. My concerns are very much the same. There were quality issues and service issues. It comes down to ethical issues. The company misrepresents the quality and materials of its product and appears to care nothing for a customer after you leave the showroom.
The review by ridleyparkolivers is a perfect example of how this company does business. That is a review by an employee named Andy Oliver that worked at the Norristown location at the time of the review. I spoke to this sales person myself. I only found out later through efforts of my own how the owners make the workers submit reviews like that on many different sites.

The only reason I can even give this company one star is because the salesperson was helpful. We had the system installed (late) and about $1,000 worth of equipment was missing (not including that they installed the incorrect sliding board). We had no notification of any backorder situation. I called the next day to schedule a date for the completion (earliest apt was 15 days later). My husband called in the morning to get a time for the install and was given a time. No one showed up and we have not received a response to our phone message. I expect much better customer service after spending over $4,500 on a play system.

We just got our new Trampoline!!!!!!!!!! OMG I'm getting old I jumped for 5 minutes and now I have to rest. The kids just love it. The installers were great and our salesman really helped us pick out the right trampoline for us. With three kids we needed a good one. I highly recommend superior play systems they really spent a lot of time helping us.

I'm always conscientious of bad reviews, either informative with real concerns or simply gripes of being wronged; or both.

Agree with previous posters who claim poor service AFTER the sales; which is important if you're unlucky enough to have workmanship problems or items broken.

Before the sales, facilities (I visited Berlin, NJ and Norristown, PA) give you prompt, informative, no pressure and courteous treatment.

Expensive systems that do make you feel safe. Weathers very quickly.

AFTER sales, calls for minor and major issues are left relatively ignored. I won't go into our problems since rambling about specifics don't apply to everyone.

But, any item exchange/replacement or services (like staining) are very subpar. The 3rd party vendor they send out to do staining was horrible, didn't complete the job and refused to do so.

Ultimately, not sure what better alternative out there. Maybe big chains like Costco systems are less flashy and lower "status", but they have great customer service. Very disappointing that Superior Play Systems poise themselves to be high end but quality is only decent at best and service is dismal. This company should review its priorities. Can't imagine this market segment is saturated.

Purchase at your own risk. I do regret the decision to purchase and would not recommend to friends or family.

Went into their store looking for a Black Friday deal and got an early Christmas gift for my children. Love the variety and pricing. Can't wait for it to be installed. They are great people to deal with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a wonderful experience at Superior Play Systems. My friends had told me about this open play day at Superior Play Systems and we went as a group to see what they were offering. You always hear about something to good to be true, but this was nothing like that. We went in on Wednesday and my kids had a blast. They got to try every playset (they had to have at least 10 sets for the kids to play on) and boucnce on the trampolines. I didn't realize they had been offering this every Wednesday and Friday. There had to be at least 10 other families there as well. It was not a pressured situation to buy anything, but there were sales people around in case we had any questions. It really made me think about putting a play set in my backyard. Why not get my kids outside and playing instead of just watching tv or playing on the computer. What a great way to get the kids playing, when it was raining, and not have to cost anything out of my pocket.
I decided to come back onthe weekend and see if the sale staff was as helpful as during their open play days. What a great experience to be able to talk to someone who enjoyed what they were doing, really taking their time to explain every part of the system that would be right for me, and making sure I had all my questions answered. Even though there were other customers there, I felt like a person that mattered, not just a wallet walking through the door. My kids can't wait until the set comes in to be installed in our yard.
I definitely will be recommending people to Superior Play Systems and letting them know how great an experience I had.

they want me to pick up my own replacement part
AND charge me
AND charge me more than it costs me to buy the same wood retail from a supplier

my advice is find a reputable place to buy from

my wife and i research everything we buy and this was no exception. we were looking for a good value but also something we felt was safe and a unit we could add on to as our two little ones grew up. we encountered a lot of traffic going to the store and unfortunately arrived 5 minutes after closing. the salesperson was walking out the door and opened back up and spent an hour educating us (even about how their products stack up to the competition). he was so knowledgeable and their products really are the best. it was refreshing to deal with someone that not only knew what they were talking about but cared about us getting the right product for our family. we purchased a mid size unit and had them deliver and build it for us. they showed up on time and installed it and our kids love it.

Hello; I am writing this review to warn all buyers not to buy a Rainbow playsystem from Superior Playsystems in Norristown, PA. They will not cover your warranted parts, as we have been fighting with them to get our warranted parts taken care. We have to pay for the s/h charges for the parts to be shipped from the home factory to their showroom. We then had to drive 1 1/2 hours to pick them up. They don't tell you all the details. The wood weathers horribly, the plastic/rubber parts weather horribly. The ropes fray and cut your child's hands. The wood splinters and gets stuck in their hands. You have to stain your system each year with their stain at an extra expense and your labor and time. They will charge you for every little thing. Site surveys and reviews of your system will cost you. They have hung up on us after trying to reason with them. They have been extremely rude with us prompting calls to the home office in S.D. After two and half months we still do not have our warranted parts. The manager of the showroom hung up on my wife, has not returned my calls and has repeatedly lied to us. They do have our s/h money though. They are salespeople who care about making the sale, not the service after the sale. All the parts on our system developed a mold/mildew problem which they told us was due to a bad lot. Yet they are charging us to get the parts. We paid over $4,500.00 for this system and we are still paying. They use deceptive advertising and lies to get you to buy their products, don't listen, use your common sense. We should have listened to ours and realized that $4,500.00 for a playset was ridiculous and we still have to buy their stain and pay for the s/h to cover their bad parts. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT SUPERIOR PLAYSYSTEMS IN NORRISTOWN. Save it for your child's education or something more enriching. All you will get is a piece of scrap wood in your yard that looks like an eye sore. They will be rude and uncaring.
