Bisque soup!! Amazing

My husband and I, who are from out of town, ate at Atria's with a Pittsburgh friend who recommended the restaurant to us as a local favorite. This location of Atria's is located in a building that looks like a house. The floors are a little small and crowded, but we were pleased with our table. The waiters did a good job. The steaks and dessert tasted very good except for the pot roast nachos, which I felt tasted funny. Still, I think that the food was good enough for me to recommend this restaurant to others.

These folks don't know how to deal with problems or people. The car gets damaged and we are told, " . . . prove it!" No inspection, no attention, no reason to go back. There are many places with better food, courteous service, and an owner with a brain.

Pros: Nice area.

Cons: Idiot owner, careless valets, overpriced & mediocre food

I've been going to place for a while and now that I have met the owner....I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! I can't get into too much detail as I'm going to sue the restaurant, but I will tell you that the owner of this location is a clown at best. It is now my mission in life to share my bad experience at Atrias with the world....

We had reservations, so by the time the rest of our late ariving party arrived, we were seated right away. However, once we got to our deck sets, service increasingly slowed. As a corporately trained server/trainer, I usually prefer to give benefit of the doubt when it comes to service. But with knowledge of servers that I have previously trained taking employment with this restaurant, I know that sidework takes precedence over service. While the wine service was great, not many restaurants these days give 'proper' wine service, it took over thirty minutes to get our soups/and ten minutes later to get our salads. If everyone at the table orders either/or . . . everyone should have a plate in front of them when food is delivered. All in all, what should have been a dinner that just lasted a bit over an hour, lasted us over two hours. Refills were not observerd until patrons were dying of thirst, water was not offered with alcohoic drinks (DRAM Shop training). The food came out hot, pivot points were observed, but it just took way to long for a party of seven to get in and out of a restaurant that was not busy.

Pros: Seated upon request

Cons: Service takes tooooooo long!

At Atrias you can always count on good food. The service is usually good and waiters/waitressess are very attentive. During October they do Octoberfest which includes a variety of German food and beers. I recommend the Saurbraten. You may want to make a reservation as the restaurant does get busy especially during dinner.
They have some unique menu items such as pot roast nachos which are awesome. The soups are also very good and they usually have a soup of the day. All in all a good restaurant experience. Prices are mid range and it is a nice and pleasant atmosphere. When it is warm it is especially nice to sit outside on the patio.

PROS: great food and service
CONS: may be a wait.

Great update! Atria's has very good food in a unique atmosphere. We enjoyed dinner outside on the patio. Waiter was very friendly and the drinks were great. It was a long way from what Atrias used to be when I lived in the area.
