your so- called WARRANTY. The company they use provides USED replacement parts and will have your vehicle sitting at the repair shop for weeks until they deliver the part. I purchased a 2006 durango here w/ 54K on it in mid- December 2010. In early January 2011 the tranny went. Took it to the garage that the warranty company recommended. Against the garage's advice they (the warranty co.) provided a used tranny w/ $100 deductible or I had the option of kicking in $700 to have it rebuilt as recommended by the tranny guy. Having not even made the first payment yet I opted for the new (USED) transmission. Got it back a week later. ran good for 2-3 weeks then the front seal in that tranny blew and dumped out all the ATF. We had it towed back to the garage where it sat for 2 more days to replace seal. Got it back and guess what? That tranny is now BAD. Now it is early February and my Durango sits at the tranny shop for a week now waiting for another new (USED) transmission as my wife and I beg for rides to work from co-workers. In the less than 2 months we've had this vehicle it's been in the shop for 3 weeks. I will say that Dave's did reimburse me for the first $100 deductible so I wouldn't say don't buy a vehicle here, just DON'T BUY A DODGE. Also the DVD player in it doesn't work so if you are looking at a vehicle advertised as having an entertainment system bring a DVD with you to test it out because if it doesn't work it's hardly an "available option". And don't believe the little tag line on the Warranty Brochure that says "No Worries, Just Drive" because even when we get this piece of junk back I don't think I will ever trust it on a long trip. One more "fine print" detail: If your vehicle repair doesn't require at least 8 hours of "LABOR" you DO NOT qualify for rental reimbursement even if your car sits there for a week waiting for the new (USED) part(s).
