The only thing I can say is buyer beware! I bought my mattress, paid for it, and its sagging in the middle already! They sent a guy to inspect it, he laid a level across and even though it was a firm mattress it sagged just barely an inch and a half. Even the sides of the bed were bulging and I should of had him there after its laid on for 7 hours! He took pictures. He said something about a scuff mark and some kind of stain on the far left corner of the bed, I said it was from a water mark from a wash cloth my daughter left, but that wasn't why I called him, he took his pictures and measurements and left. A week later I'm told the warranty is void from the water mark, isn't that convenient ! It isn't there now, it wiped off, and what do you know, the mattress still dips in the middle! Rip off the consumer their only out is by some fine print that has NOTHING to do with the problem! iI must get the word out! I will spread the word as far and as long as possible! Do no business here or buy Sealy products! They should be ashamed!

Bought a mattress that was defective and had to pay to have an inspection done and was then instructed to go pick out a new mattress which I did. I have called and left messages over five times to what I'm told is a manager and have not gotten even one return call. Horrible customer service.

Terrible after the sale service. They charge $150 just to help you through a warranty!!!?? Who does this? Our next mattress wont be from them!!! Spend 3k on a top line Sterns and Foster and after a year it dipping - we are now dealing with the company.

Mattress World has really stepped up their customer service and resolved every issue associated with them. They are hometown people that really care. I will continue to support them. They have the best selection and very good prices you can't find anywhere else.

Mattress World definitley has the best selection than any other place in town. The other stores only carry a few brands and push them down your throat. The sales guy at Mattress World just cared about how I slept, if I had any back issues, etc. and THEN pointed me to the mattress that fit ME best. I thought that was great. You won't be dissappointed with these guys. They treated me very well. I would recommend Mattress World to anyone.

I bought my mattress a little over a month ago. First, I had to wait 2 weeks for delivery. After sleeping on the mattress for about 3 weeks, I decided that it was too firm and I wanted to exchange it. I called into the Mcknight location (where I originally bought it) to start the process. I was first told that I was not able to do anything about it until I had it for at least a month. After another week I called back in and they suggested I come into the store to pick out a new one. I left the store with some possible alternatives and a phone number for a JD, who I was supposed to call to get the bottom-line price difference. After 2 WEEKS of waiting to get in touch with JD, he finally answered his phone to say he was waiting on the store to give him the mattress prices. Called the mattress store who said they were waiting on a survey, which was mentioned for the first time right then. After 2-3 weeks of playing with these people, I've decided to sell my mattress on Craigslist and buy another from a different store.

Great prices...great selection. The only downside is how busy it was, but it was a sale day. Salesman was nice and not pushy. We went to the south hills location in Mt. Lebanon. Will shop here again.

Mattress World in Pittsburgh, PA was absolutely WONDERFUL!! My new husband and I went there to purchase our mattress and the sales people were such a huge help! The service was excellent and the prices were affordable! I would recommend this store to anyone!! You won't regret it!

We recently purchased a mattress from this locally owned company due to the state of the economy, and wanted to support fellow Pittsburghers. They advertise the lowest price or it is free and this is not true, when confronted they said the construction was not the same, I should have know right then. When we purchased the mattress we were told that there was a comfort guarantee, when we wanted to exercise this option and return the mattress for a softer version, we had to wait several months and then were denied service. The sales person was nice, Duane, and kept promising us that the replacement mattress would be delivered, however that did not happen. We had to speak with JD in customer service who was insulting, and constantly putting us off at his whim and seemingly enjoyment. We must have called this person 10 times- at least- to resolve the delivery of the mattress replacement and each time we spoke he became more agressive. We asked to speak with the Owner, Janette, left her several phone messages, with no return call. After speaking with JD, Duane, and the Owner's secretary, we were eventually told they would not honor their policy to exchange the mattress.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.

THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO KEEP THEIR DOORS OPEN THE WAY THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS.

I am appalled by the salesman at Mattress World and the bitter combativeness in customer service. My mattress was not satisfactory in any way and quite different than the store model which I selected. I paid the return option of 90 dollars and wrote my thoughts in the comment section of the web page. What I got when I walked into the store was that the salesman was "insulted" by my consumer comment. That ended all discussion. Usually, a consumer can write the feedback to an interested store wanting to real touch base with the consumer. When I came to the store. I expected, "Oh Madam, let us review your concerns and review our policy." What I got instead was a full out screaming match that absolutely, under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should have occurred when I am the consumer and the one who paid in full. I am furious at how I was treated. It was so unnecessary and and see now why the parking lot is empty and so is the store.

We ordered a canopy king bed and paid in full on 2/23/08, $694.43. Duane, our salesman set up a delivery date of 3/7/08 and wrote it on our slip. The bed was not delivered on that day or any of the other four dates promised by Duane. Each time we would call he stated that he was checking the tracking and "yes, it will be in tomorrow and we can deliver within a few days". By 3/27/08 Duane was not returning phone calls and each time we called him, we got a completely different story. We drove to the store to find out in person what was going on!!! He showed us a folder full of uncomplete orders and explained that his hands were tied and we were not the only ones waiting on this vendor they use. He made a phone call to Mattress World's Warehouse and told me that the our bed would definately be in by Tuesday, 4/1/08 and they could deliver it on Thurs. 4/3/08. I said fine, but if it didn't come this time I wanted my money back. I called on 4/2/08 to verify that they had my bed and would be coming the next day. They apologized and said it did not come. The next day I ran errands and when I came back home there was a message from them stating that they were delivering my bed between 9-12. It was past 12 then. So, I called the number back to find out what was going on?? They said that it was a mistake. They showed up at my house with a mattress and still did not have my bed; furthermore that the bed was out of stock and on back order and would not be in! They would not refund my money. They said they didn't have too because of the small print on their sales slip that said they do not have too and are not responsible for the vendors they use. I told them I would call WPXI and be in front of their store by 4:00. JD, the manager called me back and said that they would refund my card. Two days and no refund still. We called the business bureau and found out there are 25 other cases just like ours. It has been a nightmare. Beware and warn others!

In all fairness she found good and bad reviews for most of the vendors. We decided to set aside a Saturday afternoon and go to the stores with questions and comparisons in hand. My wife is a little more skeptical than I and she was ready for answers and explainations.
We spent about an hour in each of the stores and this was our experience...
The furniture store we went to barely paid attention to us and seemed to be annoyed with each question we asked. The second store only had one manufacturer and barely let us get a question or comment in edge wise. The third store again only had one manufacturer and completely reversed what the other two stores had answered. Finally, we went to Mattress World armed with a little frustration because we had just wasted 4 hours and had gotten no where. Immediately, we noticed a difference. They have every type of mattress and some we didn't even realized existed. The sales staff actually spent time asking and answering all of our questions. Within an hour, we had made our purchase based on our needs and our budget.
In conclusion, we highly recommend Mattress World because of their professionalism, honesty, selection, and price!

I originally ordered the product on 11/9/06 and as of 12/22/06 I am still without my $477.20 !!! The salesperson that originally advised me my product would be delivered in 2-3 weeks was Duane. I called on 11/30/06 to find out why it had not been delivered and was told it could take 8 weeks. I then stopped at the store on 12/19/06 and was told they would have J.D. call me back. I found out this is the manager, Jeff Dunn. However, it was Duane who called me back on 12/21/06 and he advised me that he attempted to cancel my order on 11/30/06 but the request was denied. He could not explain why no one bothered to contact me nor was my product ever delivered - he only told me that I could have store credit, which I declined. He said there is a newer 2007 model now available-not the same product I had purchased -so, I also declined the "2007" model. He said that was all he could offer me and when I asked to speak to the owner, he said he didn't know who that was...? I contacted the main office (412-831-1600), and finally, Joseph advised me, as of 10AM on 12/22/06, my account will be credited with a full refund of $447.20. It will be interesting to see how long the credit takes to appear...after all this, I can't wait to take a nap on my new bed I went and bought at a reputable establishment. Also, the showroom on McKnight Road smelled of cigarette smoke and mildew...that is the main reason I was willing to have them ship me my product from the warehouse, because I wouldn't want it out of that store due to the odors. All in all, I give them a 0 out of 10. Buyer Beware !
