Moving to a new neighborhood I thought it was going to be hard to find a good place to get a hair cut, especially since I am very picky when it comes to my hair. I looked up a few places and found Michaels. I called and spoke to the receptionist who was very helpful, I set up my appointment wit the highly recommended Michael. Upon arrival I noticed that it was pretty small, which is great, big loud salons are the worst. I was warmly welcomed and quickly sent to get my hair washed in the back (by the way, I was right on time) the soothing wash I recieved was great. I was greeted by Michael, and began discussing my ideas for my hair. He understood completely what I wanted (thank god). At the end my hair looked and smelled great, I LOVED IT!!!!!!! If you want a good hair cut, go THERE!!!!!

If you are really picky about your hair, or desire a very trendy cut, i would go elsewhere. However, if you just want a trim or if your a male I would suggest this place is suitable for you. I had a different impression of what this place would be like. In my opinion, it was run-down and looked like it needed a makeover, not to mention to be cleaned. The staff was amicable; however, I felt they lack the experience and qualifications to cut anyone's hair. I was unhappy with my hair cut, it was not what I instructed. It was cheap, so i guess thats what i get.

PROS: cheap.
CONS: bad quality cuts.

i like this place a lot because they have always been giving me very good hair cuts for a long time. the price that they charge for the good service that they give is very nominal in my thoughts. they have a staff who are very friendly and professional and they are very helpful in making decisions about styles. definitely try them out.

Michael colors my hair once a month and does a beautiful job on helping me pick my color and my highlights always look great. I will not go anywhere else to get my highlights done!

I have heard so much about this place I figured I had to go. I had no appointment and opted as a walk in. I was iffy to let a girl cut my hair but I needed one bad. I would have been better without, it turned out horrible. The girl rushed threw my cut, didnt blow dry it and charged me $19.00 for it? I will never go back, actually maybe I will, but not to see her. The older man looked like he know what he was doin, maybe I will see him next time. So, my point is be careful who you go too, you dont wanna look like ME:-(

This place is pretty good.. In the 5 years that I have been going there I have never had a bad haircut. If you are going to get some color or highlights done I would recommend Dona. Michael, the owner is very good for haircuts as well as a laugh!!!

I've been going to Michael's for the last 5 years and have never had a bad experience. I recommend them to everyone! The place is small and comfortable, the staff is kind and relaxed, and the haircuts are excellent AND inexpensive. Michael, the owner, gives me wonderful haircuts, and I trust him so much that I usually just walk in, tell him what I've generally been thinking about for my hair, and then say "Do what you think would work!" Michael is great about talking with me about possible styles, and he is attentive to what I want when I'm looking for something specific. And if I think of something halfway through my haircut, he'll do that as well. I used to go to Donna, but she's not there anymore, so now I go to Michael, and I love him just as much. And I'm happy to support a small business whose owner is interested in giving good haircuts, not in getting rich by charging ridiculous prices (like those salons downtown).

I have been a client for quite a few years and never had a bad cut from Mr. Pete. The place has just been remodeled and looks great, (quite sophisticated), I think. I always have a pleasant time while I'm there.
