Dr. Patricia Sperling has been our veterinarian for 17 years. Her care has been compassionate and caring. Recently, we had to put our beloved lab Molly down. Dr. Sperling and her staff made a difficult decision a compassionate one. Dr. Sperling stayed with us the entire time and helped us through a difficult decision. Over the years we have trusted her with our pets and she has taken wonderful care of them. I would recommend her wholeheartedly. The Conaboy Family

Awesome doctors, awesome staff! To the person who wrote they put your cat at risk, did you see all the cats in the office? And they use Advantix on the doctors dogs that are there with the cats. The girls at the desk wouldn't be shocked that you were told to use Advantix even though you have a cat. I've used it on my dog for years and we have a cat. I put it on the dog at night, by morning it's dry to point it's no longer harmful to the cat. People don't want to take responsibility, only like to blame someone else.
Dr Sperling will get on the floor to examine your pet, you don't feel rushed and she's even taken pets home with her so people don't have to go to the er clinic. I highly doubt that your vet will do that. As for her bedside manner, she's a no nonsense type of doctor. Will tell you like it is, but always with a sense of humor. They'll even let you come in with a tech to get your animals vaccines, so you don't always have to pay a office visit. Everyone is very kind, and very caring. It's a warm, friendly office!

The staff at Dr paws are all Fantastic, especially Dr Wendy. She's Kind, considerate, and very tender with our pets. The same can't be said for her office partner Dr Spurling though. I can't even articulate how much I dislike this Dr.

She has absolutely no bedside manner, is rude, argumentative, and the Mistress of Doom & Gloom when it comes to treating your pets.

It's sad but if Dr Wendy isn't available for an appointment we take our pets to another local vet rather than deal with Dr Spurling.

Overall the prices are also a little high, but we feel worth the extra money when Dr Wendy deals with us.

Overall, I cannot recommend this practice- with the exception of Dr. Wendi, who is kind, warm and compassionate.

The prices are outrageous, the business manager is rude and the second vet is sarcastic and offensive. When I moved to the area and decided to transfer care to the clinic, I took all of my records from my previous vet- when I went for my first appointment, the records were mysteriously gone and the tech actually called my old vet to confirm that they knew me and that I was a responsible pet owner.

Unfortunately, it seemed like I could never get an appointment with Dr. Wendi so we had to move to a new provider.

While the staff was friendly and seemingly professional, there are a few things that bothered me about this vet clinic. After moving to Scranton and reading all the wonderful reviews online, I took my 2 year old dog in for a routine checkup and to re-stock on flea prevention medication. He had been on Revolution all his life, but the assistant convinced me to switch to Advantix because "that's what we put all of the dogs on." During this conversation, I had mentioned that I also have a cat. Later I found out from a friend that Advantix is harmful to cats, and can even kill them. I brought the medication back and even the receptionist was appalled that they had given me that particular medication. The vet herself was alright (I think it was Dr. Wendi) - no major problems there other than the fact that she scared my pup by raising the table while he was on it - but the assistant was the one who took all of his history and talked to me about the flea meds. The fact that they put one of my other pets at danger due to their lack of knowledge, experience, and professional advice made me switch to another clinic immediately. Be sure to do your own research, or at least DON'T fully trust the assistants there - make sure the vet takes the time to talk over any recommended changes.

This hospital is wonderful and very clean. They have a great staff with caring and compassionate veterinarians. I have taken our dog chi-terrier mix to Dr. Sperling and Dr. Wendi for a few years now. Both doctors are very thorough and have a great bedside manner, treating him like their own. Dr. Paws truly cares about animals. I highly recommend them to everyone for the care of your furry family members!!!
Note: My only complaint would be the prices, they seem to be going up and up. It costs more money to see a Vet than go to a regular doctor :( It cost $90 on our last visit to just get ear ointment for an ear infection.

I cannot say enough good things about the Dr. Paws Vet practice. My pup sees Dr. Wendi, but Dr. Sperling is good as well. The facility is clean, staff friendly and you really feel at ease that your animals are getting top quality care.
