Sandcastle

This is an excellent place to go for kids and adults alike in the summer for some water fun. They have excellent water slides... great food and plenty of places to relax and have a good time. Since it is an affiliation with Kennywood Park their prices are a little high but there is no other park like it in this area. A day at this place will refresh and revive you. Also they have plenty of bars for the adults to get drinks and relax by the pool.

When I took my grand-children there for an evening of fun I thought that I would be totally bored. It was a wonderful place to hang out for an evening. They have excellent food and places to hear music and drink. I was really surprised how much they have there to cater to the older crowd as well as the younger ones. My wife does not swim and I thought that she would be really bored, but even she enjoyed herself sitting by the water and watching the kids play. We wound up going back to the park later just the two of us to have a nice evening just her and I together. I definitely would recommend that you visit this place... even if you don't have kids who are dying to play in the water.

I have to say a day at Sandcastle is a lot of fun but the lines are horrible during peak summer hours! There are big slides for the older kids (and the adult kids..haha) and there are small water parks for toddelers and babies. You can't forget about the wave pool, the regular pool, the great food and even a boardwalk. Make sure you give yourself a whole day to spend there because you will need it!

Sandcastle is a great summer get away,They have excellent water slides,and a great price..They have a summer special where you can go all summer for only $50 That is great considering it was $20 a day...I hope they keep that deal up next year..Slides are fun,lines can be a bit long though,but definately worth the wait...

Sandcastle is a great waterpark in the Homestead part of Pittsburgh. There are numerous waterslides and a pool for use during the warmer months. At night, it is open for adults in the summer. The parking is plentiful, mini lockers are available, and they sell snacks. However, sometimes the park is just so crowded that we don't enjoy it. If you are like us, choosing less crowded times to visit may be worthwhile.

Sandcastle is a great time! The waterslides are lots of fun and the Lazt River is very relaxing. The Wave Pool is fun, too, but gets crowded on hot days!!!

the Boardwalk is nice and gives you the feel that you are at the beach. I think the admission is a little pricey, but the coupons they offer help. I also think outside food should be allowed since it can get quite expensive for a large family to eat there.

Sandcastle is the perfect place to go to escape those hot days in Pittsburgh. Though it is in Homestead, right along the river, it gives the impression of being much more secluded. Several water slides (both body and tube), a pool, wave pool, lazy river, and kid's area and go-karts mean there's something for everyone. Regulars may get bored with the limited slides, but the water is always cool, so you won't mind too much. There is also a selection of food stands, and a bar, so an all-day trip is quite possible. Considering you're in Pittsburgh, this is a pretty nice water park!

It doesn't feel like you are in Homestead when you enter Sandcastle. The park is very nice and well taken care of. Employees are friendly, and there is a lot to do. The wave pool can get very crowded, but its lots of fun. The lazy river is nice and relaxing, but watch--sometimes they make you get off each time--YIKE! They have the speed slides and tube slides, so there is definately something for the whole family!

One of the best things about this place is that they discounted the general admission ticket because they were not operating all rides at that time. They are a great deal which is made even better with the occasional coupon. The wave pool is a great place to have some fun, but you have to get there early so that you can get a seat on one of the lounge chairs. The water slides are a blast and the lazy river was a great relaxing ride. It is located close to restaurants and shopping so it is very easy to have a great experience when visiting this water park.

This park has many water slides as well as a lazy river for the family to enjoy. this park has alot of summer fun in one place.
