.

As a Bethlehem native, I have always passed Gus's Restaurant and thought to myself, "I should really try it sometime." I can now confidently say that this was one of the worst decisions I have made in my life. I went with my wife and we were greeted by our waitress who stated, "I can give you three minutes to order, I have a big table over there I need to get to." I patiently thought to myself, "it's a Saturday night, the waitress appears stressed, I can understand that." Yet ,I couldn't help but to feel inferior as if my dining experience was significantly less important than the "large" table of six she needed to attend to. This was a constant theme with the service, feelings of insignificance and feeling rushed.

But most of you who are reading this now are probably wondering what the food is like. Let me begin by saying that if you can put aside poor service, for great food, you are still making the wrong decision going to Gus's. Our beverages had a interesting hint of soap and the food was cold when it should have been hot. I could have sworn that the table prior to us ordered the same appetizer we did, as it appeared to be passed from another table and eaten. Long story short, my wife threw up in the parking lot once we left the establishment. The meals were overprized. The food was terrible. And the service was awful. I would not send someone that I detested there.

Overall Rating: 0/100.

Pros: Nothing positive

Cons: Murphy's Law...whatever could go wrong, went wrong.

This place is awesome. The kids menus are great for kids, with hamburgers to gyros. And they all end with complementary ice cream. The normal menu is filed with american and greek dishes. The gyros are amazing, the best Ive ever had! Prices are normal compared to places like Red Lobster or Perkins. I highly recomend this restaurant to everyone.

PROS: good for families or couples.
