When my hairstylist quit doing hair, I didn't know where to go. Many of the places I checked with were really expensive so I asked my former stylist for recommendations and she suggested that if I wanted to try a less expensive place, a local beauty school might be a good choice. Having been a former student and a former teacher herself, I took her advice and I'm glad that I did. I chose Pruontos. Their prices are pretty inexpensive as compared to regular salons and I've always been pretty happy with my cuts. This last time I went the stylist trimmed off a bit more than I was expecting her to but in the end I was VERY pleased with it and have gotten many, many compliments. One of the drawbacks though is that since this is a school, and students are coming and going you oftentimes don't get the same stylist everytime you go. However I like their prices and even though they're students, the cuts are checked and "fixed" (if necessary) by a teacher so you can be pretty comfortable in the knowledge that you'll be pretty pleased with your cut/style.

I went here for what seemed like an eternity. The teachers are mean and very rude. The one teacher who is also the owner, told one girl she will never make it in this business because she is too fat, and she wasn't even overweight!
The teachers are always mean and hatred towards most of the students.
When I went here I had found out I was pregnant and that I could not stand, because I was a high risk pregnancy. Well, I had told the teacher and owner, and she had told me that if I couldn't stand I couldn't go to her school, I even had a note form my dr's explaining my condition.
Very rude people here, highly unrecommended.
