Ok, so I am normally not the one to make these type of comments but I just want to let everyone know DO NOT ever go to Noah's Ark Animal Hospital in the NE on Frankford Ave. I went to this vet for quite a few years and never had any problems. I referred people to them and know others as well as myself who have pets who have had procedures done here with no problems. I stopped going here a couple of years ago when they treated my cat who had lymphoma and it was back and forth and they had no clue what was wrong with her after surgery, blood work, diff meds and tests. I had a second opinion at university of penn and she had lymphoma....her whole insides was covered in tumors and this lady couldn't find any when she did surgery. So after that I switched vets. My new vet wanted way too much money to have my two dogs fixed so I figured I would just go to Noah's Ark...spaying and neutering a dog is a pretty routine surgery that most pets have at some point, no big deal. On Sat I dropped of my 2 dogs in the morning and picked them up at 1pm and took them home...at 2pm my puppy started bleeding out on my sofa, sitting in a puddle of blood. My husband rushed him back to Noahs thinking he might have busted his stitches, they told him to come back at 3 for him. I went back at 3pm to get him and the vet came out and told me she was having a hard time, his stitches didn't break, she didn't know where the bleeding was coming from. She said they put him under and seen something bleeding and sutured it and when he started to wake up he started bleeding again so she sedated him a 3rd time and opened him up and couldn't find where he was bleeding from so she wrapped his back side up and was trying to warm him up. My dog was laying on the table almost lifeless and they are telling me they don't know why he's bleeding and then her assistant goes on to ask me if I was worried before I dropped him off and I said yea a little, she then tells me that me worrying and all that bad energy can make bad things happen and basically is blaming my "bad energy" because they don't know what they were doing. So basically they had me take him home and if he were to bleed through the bandage take him to the 24hr er vet. They even told me the vet wanted to give him a blood transfusion from her dog but her dog was sick so they couldn't which I think was weird they would even do that even if he wasn't sick. So I took my dog home and I go to let my other dog out who I had spayed and pick her up and she had blood come out of her incision wound dripping all down my side. I called the 24 hour vet and they said that neither of their symptoms are normal. I took my puppy who was neutered to the emergency vet and they did blood work and it was all normal so my dog wasn't the problem(clotting disorders, etc) They took his bandage off and said that the sutures possibly weren't tight enough and one slipped and basically said it was the vets fault. I was told to watch my other dog who was spayed and make sure she didn't swell anymore or bleed. These surgeries should have been a lot different and this lady is a butcher and if you care about your pets you will never use this woman as your vet!!! My dog almost bled to death and I am very lucky he is getting better, he still isn't out of the woods yet but he is improving as is my other pup, but someone else may not be so lucky!!!!! It has now been 3 days since they were fixed and they haven't even called to see how either of my dogs are doing and I called this morning to get my pets records for our current vet and Donna was giving me a hard time and asking me "what do you want them for?" so they know they did something wrong. On top of that vet didn't even stay in the room when I came to get my puppy after he almost died or when I left and checked out, she didn't even talk to me after she told me about the difficult time he was having. They know they messed up!!

Wonderful vet, a great hospital with a caring staff. Took great care of us and our animals when we needed it most. Dr. Ronis is a one of a kind vet, very knowledgeable with a unique approach i'd say to animal care. Thank you so much.

i absolutelty love this vet, my dog coco ate something solid and we were told by other vets that the surgery to save her life would cost $1500-4500. everyone who we spoke with wanted the money up front, when we found out we were not eligable for any of the aid to help, we were simply told to put her down... how horrible!!! a friend mentioned noah's ark so i set up an appointment, not only did they fit us in asap, they gave me feeding directions until she was seen. when i got there, they realized right away that she deff did need surgery so they simply said she wont be going home tonight, we have to operate asap. not once did they mention that i needed the money up front, or i could apply for help.. their ONLY concern was coco. right now she is alive and recovering, she had her surgery a little under a week ago and she is doing excellent. we are now on a payment plan, and the surgery cost us under $1000. thank you sooo much to the awesome staff at noah's ark, without their compassion for animals, our baby would be dead.

I have taken my dog here for years and it was great. I forget the doctor's name but it was a lady and she was very nice. My dog is 13 years old, he cannot see very well, and has always had a little bit of anxiety. Just yesterday I took my dog there because he is getting older and I wanted to know if he had any problems. When we there we had a doctor I have never seen before. It was a man, he came in, he was nice and it looked like it was going to be ok.

When he first picked my dog up it looked unnatural. I have a smaller dog and I easily pick him up all the time. The doctor put an arm around his neck and one around his butt. My dog was not fond of this so it started out wrong. He checked his hind legs and my dog was fine. Since my dog cannot see and is easily frightened, when the doctor tried to check his face he resisted and struggled. The doctor tried to hold him down and my sister tried to calm him but that scared him more and he started to bark. The doctor wanted to muzzle him because he swore he was going to get bit when my dog hasn't even snapped. This was fine because I definitely didn't want the doctor to get bit.

However, he violently tried to force a muzzle over my already panicked dogs mouth. The tip of my dogs tounge was stuck in between his teeth and he was crying and I was saying "his tongue his tongue" and the doctor responded "oh his tongue is fine." He couldnt strap the muzzle because my dog was moving his head too much so the doctor threw down the muzzle, violently picked my dog up off of the table, and threw him to the ground. Luckily my sister also had a grip on my dog and assured he landed ok. He was then yelling at my dog "if you dont sit still I cant help you." As if my dog could understand him, as opposed to gently trying to calm him down. My sister was in tears at this point. I sat on the floor and gently pet my dog while the doctor also sat and looked in his face, that was all it took. My dog was immediately calm.
We asked if he looked ok and the irritated doctor responded with "I dont know I am not a psycologist" and became to insult us by saying "this dog has learned to snap at people when he wants to be left alone." My dog has never snapped at anyone, not even him, or has even growled at someone. He may not be the most cooperative in uncomfortable situations but he has never tried to hurt anyone.

I understand being frustrated with a difficult dog but I do not understand treating your PAYING customers rudely, or making them feel uncomfortable when your handling their dog. This dog is like my child and I know no one wants to see their child roughly handled when he his afraid.

I dont know if the woman still works there and I dont care to find out because I am not taking my dog back there. But unless you are positive your pet will be on its best behavior, and is comfortable being held down in stressful situations by unfamiliar men then I suggest you not take your animal to this man. He was not sympathetic to upsetting my sister. The minute my dog wasnt cooperating he was rude. He was not remotely trying to calm him down. He was just using more force to try to control him. My dog is not a bad dog, he is a big baby and was frightened and I could not have gotten out of there fast enough. I hope the people in the waiting room heard a barking dog, a yelling doctor and two crying girls and left immeditately.

I have been a client of Noah's Ark for years, they are by far the best crew of hospital staff. Everyone is exceptionally friendly and kind hearted. Dr. Ronis is an excellent doc, anytime there has been a problem with one of our pets she has been there for us. I don't understand why certain people here have written really nasty reviews, these people must have some problems because from everyone i've talked to and from my own experience, Noah's Ark is a wonderful clinic and i would recommend them to anyone.

PUPPY KILLERS......
What ever you do, do not take any animals to these pet killers
My puppy was 10months old had her shots. We took her their to be spray they retured her to us sick. When I called them they said it had nothing to do with them and to stop giving her dog food and give her rice with chicken two days later we took her to them she was throwing up and pooping blood, once again they said it had nothing to do with them, but they gave us some kind of medicin and said it was a virus. We then
went to another vet who did a parvo test per this second vet noah's ark should of did one before the surgery. When we asked them if they did one Noah's ark said no that my puppy showed no signs and she was healthy. We then rushed her to Cares animals hospital, where their doctor stated that no puppy her age with shots gets parvo. The hospital said it was one of the worst cases they had seen and that for Ellie Mae to have caught this she would have had to be in direct contact with another animal who had it. that my puppy would have had to step in poop or be around another dog who had this. Ellie Mae spent 5 days in ICU where she fought as had and as long as she could unfortually she did not win her battle. We did everything we cound and Cares is the best hosptial for animals, they did tell us that they were frustated with what had happened with Ellie Mae that they gave her every treatment for Parvo and she did not responed to any thing, Cares stated that they thought something else was wrong, however Ellie Mae was so very sick and worn out from all of this, she passed away. So for all the pet Lovers in the world DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO NOAHS ARK. unless you do not care if your pet lives or dies.. Sincerly missing my Ellie Mae....

I LOVE Noah's Ark Animal Hospital and Dr. Ronis and I recommend her to all my friends that have pets. I took my first cat to her for care and eventually had to have her put to sleep. There was no other choice. It was extremely painful, but I am eternally grateful that it was done there. Dr. Ronis is such a wonderful Dr. and so warm and caring. I had a really bad experience with a vet prior to coming to Noah's Ark and just recently a friend of mine related another horror story with hers. So, we brought her cat to Dr. Ronis of course !! I'm so grateful to have her as my vet and would recommend her highly.

I am very grateful to have Noah's Ark animal hospital nearby and affordable. Dr. Ronis is intelligent in her care of animals. She doesn't do expensive and unnecessary interventions. She seems to understand that an animal is meant to live for a certain period of time and that no matter what we do we can't force one to live forever. I take my many animals there and feel that she listens to me carefully and asks questions so that she is fully informed before she makes a judgement concerning an animal's care. She doesn't overmedicate. She tries to use natural methods when possible. I love it that I can call and get an appointment within a few hours of requesting one. I only wish she was open 7 days a week! I don't know what I'd do without Noah's Ark!

I have had my animals at Noah's Ark for 8 years. I take them there for everything. They always make time for every patient and take their time. they do not rush you out and Dr. Ronis is there to answer any questions that you have. Her staff is very friendly and helpful. I have 2 dogs and the third had to be put down due to old age and cancer. Dr. Ronis is hands down the best vet I have ever encountered. I am not sure of exactly what happened with this woman's cat, but I am sure it is a bit exaggerated. If she is not happy with Noah's Ark, she won't be happy anywhere. If you want the best care for your animals, bring them to Noah's Ark. They really are the best!

Noah's Ark came recommended to us by a co-worker of my boyfriend's. It was convenient for us because our kitten's former vet often put on us on hold for 20 minutes and then tried to schedule appointments entirely inconvenient for us. Noah's Ark was both convenient and affordable. On October 11th of this year we brought our kitten, Bruce, to Noah's Ark. Walking in, I felt a very loving atmosphere, especially with the two cats they have freely walking around in the waiting room. Bruce was seemingly in great health as we were told by our former vet at the Women's Humaine Society and was a very active kitten. Bruce was taken within minutes, scheduled to be nuetered. After leaving Noah's Ark in only a matter of a couple of hours, the doctor of Noah's Ark called me, "We lost Bruce during the operation. I don't know what happened." I was a mess! That kitten was my baby, my light, my life! Don't know what happened? She doesn't know what happened so I jumped to the conclusion that some fatal mistake was made! We went back to Noah's Ark. The doctor walked me back to her office. The entire time I'm closing my eyes screaming that I didn't want to see my kitten dead, at which she replies, "Would you like to see him?" I couldn't believe how incompassionate this doctor was! I replied, "No, it's not like he can look back at me." She said, "No, he's gone." She said it as if she were saying, "See you tomorrow," all normal and calm. Where did this lady's compassion go? I trusted her with my kitten who was active and alive when I brought him to her and suddenly he was dead. I think I deserved more compassion than that. She told me the operation was completed successfully and when he started to come to his heart rate slowed down. While trying to revive him his heart completely stopped and he was gone. The explanation was there's a rare case that a cat has a bad reaction to the anesthesia and dies. Either way my kitten is gone and I will never go back to Noah's Ark.

I couldn't believe how incompassionate this doctor was!

I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Ronis and her caring staff of professionals.
Dr. Ronis treats your pets like family. I recently had to make the tough choice of having my cat put to sleep. She and her staff were kind and compassionate to not only my cat but to my entire family. I only trust her with my cats health issues.
The office closing for 2 days in a row does make it a little difficult if your animal is very sick. I did have to use another vet on a weekend and I found the care was nothing like I receive at Noah's Ark.
I own a dance studio and whenever I have mentioned Noah's Ark I get so many of our costumers who all rave over her. I have never heard a negative comment about her, which I think these days is rare. You will always find someone with complaints.
If you are looking for a caring, compassionate, professional vet with affordable prices you will find it at Noah's Ark. I don't think you'll be quite satisfied and glad you made the call to take your pet to Noah's Ark.

My kitty was blocked(couldnt go to the bathroom) he was bleeding and in so much pain and other vets wouldnt see him cause i didnt have the emergency fee and 800$ they wanted alothough they did say they would put him down for 200$ which i did not want to do. Noahs ark took my first thing in the morning before they were open and charged me NO EMERGENCY FEE and they treatment including him staying there for oh most a week was 150$. thats cheaper then other places wanted to put him down. I think anyone would be crazy to go anywhere else

Ok, so we decided to get our cat declawed to do him being a indoor cat and loved scracthing everything in site.
We called around town for prices and asked questions being new at this. Noah's ark seemed to be a good price. We discussed on the phone with one of the woman at the front about prices & if it was a good idea to get just fronts or all four. She said four was better if we had children later to find out it was not, anyway that is another story.
My girlfriend took our sweet baby in there last tuesday and signed the paperwork and went over the price again with the lady which was $225.00 for him to be neutered and declawed on his four paws. Thursday we called as he was suppose to be done, she asked if they accepted check or credit, cash only -- no big deal. So she asked the price once again and thelady said $170.00. My girlfriendnot wanting to ripp them off if they made a mistake questioned it. Come to find out they made a mistake and only did the front claws. So they fiddled around on the phone a bit and decided it was her faulght but they would only charge us $30.00 more dollars for the stuff to knock him out again. She questioned if that was a good idea to have him go under yet again just 2 days apart. They said it would be fine. I am angry at this point as this was there mistake I was being charged for not to mention they were trying to blame it on her and worst of all our baby had to go under again. So they made her come in to sign another waiver, while she was there she asked to see the paper work that they "claimed" she signed that stated front claws. Well they pulled it out and it said Front Claws at the top but:
Front claws was obviously written in a different pen then the rest of the signed contract she signed meaning it was done afterwards. These people are scum! Makes me sick just thinking about it. They gave my girlfriend a attitude and said it was not different pen, even had there butchy assistant come out and get tuff with my girlfriend for letting them no that she was not born yesterday and it was different pen.
Today I go over to get him and not feeling like fighting, just wanting to get him home and be done with them I asked how much extra it was, she said $30.00 extra for the meds to knock him out the second time. I let it go! I paid and was on my way home. Being new at this I did not know he should of been wrapped up on his claws which he was not and they also gave us nothing, no antibiotics -- just instructions to get yesterdays news cat liter until he was healed. Me being ignorant to all this thought it was normal. I road right to petsmart to get him what he needed. I explained the story to a few workers they, made them sick to there stomach.

Here is the kicker! At the store I was holding him in my arms and look at my white shirt. It has blood on it. He was bleeding. Think thats it? Nope, gets worse. I feel a scratch. I am thinking I am feeling things, grab his front paws to check -- they left the front middle claw on his front right paw. I am out of my mind by this time, these people have my money, my cat will have to go under again? No way!

They tell me to bring him back so I go back just to see what they have to say. The girl comes out pretending to be freindly to me. Ripps church out of my arms and tells me to sit down as they will take it out right there and I can take him home. I ripped him right back out of her arms and said no way! I will not have you people touch my cat anymore, you have butchered him, acted unproffesional and proven to be that you are liars thus far. I want my money backj right now to take him somewhere reputable and I refuse to ever have him go under again for anything, he has been thru enough. The lady at the desk cocky like states I have to speak with the owner/butcher.

It is a lady, I tell her listen give me back enough to take him somewhere and I will go away and you neve rtouched my cat. She said no, you made a deal. I said yes you did not do what you were suppose to do lady. She ws some dirty looking earthy lady with frizzy hair, short, ugly and overweight, prob unmarried. I told her I would sue her as it is obviously a opened and closed case, the edvidence is all there -- my cat has a ******* middle claw? Now I am looking at his scrotom and it looks butcherd to. I tried to go over to a few other places today to have him checked out but nothing is open. Does anyone know of any pet hospitals open on sundays? I need to have him looked at and I am out $255.00 so far that they stole from me. They stole money from me! I am so angry abouot this but more concerned now on my cats well beng then I plan to take this case to court as I am sure I will win.

My dog has visited this vet many times over the past 10 years. She diagnosed my dog with allergies when she was a puppy and would not charge me an office visit when I would come in the pick up her meds. She also perform her neutering with no problems. The doctor's assistant is very nice and loves all the animals. My only concern is that my dog can be a little aggressive and you can tell the doctors gets a little scared by it. Overall, she is a good vet.

I took my cat to noahs ark for a cheack up it was a great place. It was very clean it did not even look like a animal hospital or smell like one etheir. the rooms for the animals were private which I really liked. The vet there took her time with my animal which was a plus. The vet even adopts cats out which later i took my daughter there and we adopted a kitten for free and it had its shots. I think noah animal hosptal is the best. Her price are on the good side not to expensive if you know what I mean.
