My fiancee and I are having our wedding ceremony and reception at The Summit Inn in a couple months. Carol, fantastic lady, is such a great help and answered every question we threw at her.

The place is beautiful and well preserved. I can't wait to see the ballroom we reserved for our big day.

This is a very beautiful Inn with gorgeous background and amenities. The Inn itself is elegant but not over the top fancy. It is family friendly and the staff are excellent and will help in a minute.

The Summit Inn is a beautiful Inn and they have gorgeous grounds with a nice view.
The rooms are beautiful, and well maintained.
The restaurants have great food and service.
I always look forward to going to the Summit Inn whether to stay over night or eat in their beautiful restaurant.
Like their slogan says, they are "Where Guests Sill Meet Like Yesterday's Elite."

PROS: Beautiful and Historic, Clean
CONS: NONE

The inn is beautiful, but that's where the beauty ends. My husband and I were forced to cancel a night at the inn when he got the flu. The inn has a 72-hour cancellation policy - by the way, WHO has a 72-hour cancellation policy these days? I traveled extensively for the government for years and I assure you, the vast majority of hotels DO NOT have such ridiculous policies, but I digress. The manager granted us a credit for the night after she dutifully charged us the full $200. As we have been unable to use the credit and do not have a free weekend before the inn's closing in November, we wanted to transfer the credit to our parents for their 30th wedding anniversary. I never thought that there would be issue with this, much less the tongue-lashing I received from the very rude manager. She explained to me that it was my fault that I couldn't use the credit before season-end. She was perfectly happy to take my money, but she was not willing to work with me on anything. I have never had someone in the "HOSPITALITY" industry (or anyone for that matter) treat me so terribly. I just could not believe that someone with no interpersonal skills whatsoever earned this position. What's more - our family is friends with the owner! The manager can rest-assured that the owner will know just how rudely we were treated. We discourage anyone from visiting inn given this horrendous experience.
