I always find it hard to browse this store. I never seem to find what I'm looking for but luckily the helpful and knowledgeable staff are always there to lend a hand and the majority of the time, they have just what I'm looking for. They seem to focus more on low and mid-priced yarns though they do have a few luxury yarns as well. I appreciate that I am able to bring a pattern in and the staff are able to suggest a replacement yarn that is often more affordable than the one suggested in the pattern.

Their selection can't be beat - especially for stuff other than knitting yarns. Spinning and weaving supplies, felting equipment, specialty tools (swifts, niddy-noddys, ball winders), dyestuff. I'm in heaven. And their yarns! I am just crazy for the Elsebeth Lavold stuff, and the yarns on cones for doing fair isle... oh, man, I could spent hours walking around petting the same yarns over and over again.

The only reason I didn't give them five stars is, I was really put off by the attitude of one of the owners; I have an unconventional appearance, and when I went to talk about renting a drum carder, she treated me like she thought I must have no idea what I was asking for and was likely to go off and damage it in my ignorance. I asked around, and have been told that I did not misread her attitude. That really turned me off. I haven't taken my kids in this shop yet, but I'm kind of afraid to try it, she seems so rigid.
