I bought a 2008 Toyota Sienna minivan and they treated us like royalty. I read a review that someone had question the integrity of this dealership. From my experience and hearing everyone one I have talked to this further from the truth. I never write reviews but after reading the one negative one I felt compelled. This is a place you can trust!

I bought a 2006 van here. The staff were courteous and professional. The price was excellent, and the car was in great shape. I did have a problem with the wipers. The timing was off ,and the blades were hitting and breaking. Took it back to be fixed as per warranty. Done quickly the day I called and while I waited. Great place to do business. Will buy there again and so should you.

Unfortunately my experience with River Road Auto Sales in Apollo Pa was not a good one. I went to this dealer because it was a Christian dealership. I assumed that I would be able to get a good car at a fair price, especially since I was dealing with a Christian dealer. I made the mistake of assuming that I could trust a Christian. I purchased a 1991 Buick Century with very low miles. The car was in very good shape. I paid $3999.00 which was the asking price. After the purchase I was having problems with the brakes and after someone had asked me what I paid for the car they suggested that I check out the Blue Book value. Which I did. The high blue book was $2250.00. I paid $1700 more than what the car was worth. $2250 was not the trade in value. It was the retail from a dealer if the car was in excellent shape. I wrote Mr. Jim Allera and told him that the price was far more than the value of the car. I told him that I trusted him because he was a Christian and because of this I could no longer do business with him again. I also sent him print outs from Kelley Blue Book and Edmund's to show him the value.I had previously purchased a minivan and a dirt bike from him so I was a repeat customer. I received a response written on my letter stating "the price was fair" and "God is my judge. I will be fine on judgment day, will you?" I thought this was a very poor response. No acknowledgement that he had charged me 174% of the actual value. Accusing me of judging him and then questioning my integrity was un-Christian like. Since then I have attempted 4 times to set up a meeting with him to talk to him about this. I even asked to meet with him and his pastor. The only response I got back was my letters opened and then mailed back to me. I blame myself for paying what I paid and not checking first. I trusted this dealer because they advertise as being a Christian Dealer. I never expected that a Christian dealer would set a price this much more than the true value. Should we trust anyone that states they are a Christian business? I won't ever again. Should you do business with this dealership? You decide. Make sure you do your homework and be sure to check values on line first. Just because someone talks the talk doesn't mean they walk the walk. Mr. Allera thinks that $3999 is a fair price for a $2250 car. If that's so then why wouldn't he meet with me and his pastor. Perhaps he knows it isn't and wouldn't want his pastor to know he screwed someone. How many others trusted him and don't even know they were taken advantage of? I expect something like this from a non Christian but I shouldn't have had to get it from a Christian.

I had a great experience when purchasing a vehicle here. The salespeople are courteous and helpful. They take the time to explain everything that they personally know about any vehicle in the lot. They explain about warranties and extended warranties for the vehicles that they sale. After the purchase of a vehicle from here, you receive free state inspections for as long as you own the vehicle. The service department is also very good. The manager is wonderful. He tries to work with your schedule for any service work that your vehicle may need.
One last note, I have also had occasion to rent a vehicle from here. The car was clean and in great shape. The rental department was neat and organized. It only took minutes for the paperwork to be done. I definitely recommend anyone looking to buy a quality used vehicle, check out this business.
