Pep Boys

The horror stories can go on forever, however, I'm only here to relate two of my own. I called to get a quote from this location to install a water pump on a 98 Ford Windstar. The service rep didn't even bother to ask what size engine the car had (3.0 or 3.8), but just blurted out that the labor would cost me $495.00. I thanked him (for nothing!) and called the Peb Boys location in Andora. After asking all of the appropriate questions, the service rep looked up the labor cost in the computer and quoted me $58.99 for the pump and $167.40 for the labor. He was very professional and took his time to make sure that I was clear on the pricing of everything. Second scenario: my mother, an elderly woman, got her car out of the Stenton Avenue Location and when she got home, the car would not cut off. It was late in the evening and she did not know what to do, so she took the car back to the Stenton Ave. Peb Boys to explain the problem. The service rep at the counter looked her square in the face and said to her, "Well, there's nothing we can do about that," and sent her on her way. Keep in mind, this is an elderly woman, it's late at night, and she's a customer of theirs. We in this neighborhood share horror stories like this all of the time concerning this Pep Boys location. Now it's high time someone let the world know - STAY AWAY FROM THE STENTON AVENUE PEB BOYS LOCATION.

I have been to this Pep Boys numerous times. The store is always well stocked and kept neet. The men at the service counter know what they are talking about. They can be a bit pricey, but they usually have your car completed the same day. The cashiers can be a bit friendlier, but they tend to change, often.

Always had a good experience, not a long wait for an oil change. Employees are friendly and helpful, they do not try to sell you something that you don't need. They take good car of my car and send me updates to remind me to come in for service. Last minute appointments are always available.

This store is kept nice and clean so is the parking lot. however, they are often out of parts and have to order them in for you. The staff is very helpful in finding exactly what you need.

I have had my car worked on at thei Pep Boys on several occassions. The staff is efficient and the prices are okay. I also liked not having to wait to long for my car to be finished.
