The Birth Center

In addition to being a great place to birth a baby, the Birth Center is excellent for regular gynecological care. I have NEVER waited more than five minutes for a scheduled appointment and NEVER waited at all for a midwife once I have entered an examining room. Now, about how many doctors' offices can you say that? I love the time and attention you receive at the Birth Center. And while I was terrified of attempting birth #2 without drugs, I would do it again in a heartbeat for another child. It was actually easier without drugs than with--in terms of the over all experience.

This is an excellant place to have a baby. I have talked to several people about this particular place. You can stay at home, and have your family all around. Bryn mawr is fully exquited to handle any emerency, such as breech birth and c section. It is much less expensive and a reall joy to have everyone around when you have your baby. Excellant place to have ob exams and good service from trained professionals.

PROS: Trained professionals, skilled to meet your every need.
CONS: Whole family around during childbirth.

We know several women who have given birth here. A really nice place to do a natural birth. A great choice to help you birth your baby and support breast feeding.

Be award that 6 hours after your baby is born, you get to go home. I think some would prefer a little longer rest! This would be my #1 choice if we lived closer.

The Birth Center is so amazing! I went there for the birth of my second daughter and the birth of my twins. I was always happy when I left that all my questions were answered. I had the best birth with my daughter and when we found out that I was having twins I was a bit worried that doctors were going to have to take over for the required hospital delivery but my midwife was able to stay with me the whole time and catch both of my twins. The mood was so calm with her there when I closed my eyes I almost felt like I was across the street in one of the bedrooms.
