I went today and was ripped off! I was charged $10 for a hoagie that wasn't even satisfactory. I also ordered 4 things of pork chops and rice. (I had to get food for my dad and the guys working on my place.) The restaurant is so informal, the dining area is treated like their living room, personal stuff everywhere, someone charging a cell phone right at the entrance. I had to state my order literally 6 times between a waiter and waitress. This was a to-go order and it took a long time, about 35-40 minutes.

The overall consensus was that you're better off going to the market and making it yourself. Google recipes if you have to. I think she saw that I was Asian and pulled one on me. That's just bad business practice. My bf gave her a $2 tip too, so $12 just for the 8-in hoagie. I didn't say anything because I wasn't sure of the pricing and I have respect, I didn't want to be rude. But I won't ever go back.

But ten bucks? In Philly, it's $2.50 for a hoagie, buy 5 get one free, and they're great, especially the vegetarian one. Def try it if you're in the area, Ba Le on Washington. I'm going to stick to making my own at home or just waiting until I go back home!

Pros: Authentic "feel" ?

Cons: Service, Food, Price, Value, Ambience

This is No longer a restaurant that you could eat in. It became a weird place for GANGSTERS to hang out to get high. GOOD people don't go to My NGOC, otherwise you could go home with a bullet in your head. Go somewhere else.

We ate here several months ago. The food quality was low. The tables were not clean. The staff was slow and weird. Go elsewhere.

Here it is. The Vietnamese restaurant you've been looking for lo' these many years in Pittsburgh. Well, what are you waiting for? Grab yourself a bowl of spring rolls, pork, and noodles or else the egregiously misnamed chicken pho (it's good, but sure isn't what I'd call pho). The teenager who takes your order alternates between docile as a lamb and surly as your mom that time she caught you in that menage a trois with your Pitt professor and his prized grad student. No matter though, the food is as good as Vietnamese gets in the culinary wasteland that is Pittsburgh, PA.

Pros: tasty food, friendly owners

Cons: mercurial waitstaff
