While I did not purchase a corset by them, I had every intention to do so. I found them at the Harrisburg Comic con & loved their style & colors. As I started to look through their racks I was approached, I told them what I was looking for & in what size. I was told that all corset are not sized the same, which at that time I explained that I wear corsets & I know my waist size & that I wear my corsets 5in smaller. She insisted that I get measured. I tried to explain that I was wearing a corset under my costume so measuring me would not help any, no good still had to be measured. Fine. what she came back with was the size of the corset I was currently wearing. I was looking for one that was 2 inches bigger so that I could wear it all day & be more flexible. She then proceeded to tell me that my corset was probably made over seas & was cheaply made. 1st what I was wearing was heavier & more hour glass shaped than what they were offering, 2nd Mine was also was made in the USA & 3rd the prices were the same. I do not think a seller should insult a customer who knows what they are looking for. I understand there are some that need direction, but you still should not be rude about it. I will not be purchasing from them.

Here's a review that isn't a "lie from a competitor". I just purchased a corset on Saturday. The saleswomen were very nice, and that's why I've given two stars. Unfortunately, their customer service leaves much to be desired. After purchasing my $200 corset I returned to the store because I didn't like the shape that it was pushing my breasts into. I was hoping to do a quick exchange for an underbust and I would have been on my merry way, telling people about my great corset. But it was at this point that I was informed about the no returns policy. Apparently after only a few hours it was already molding to my body and they could never sell it again. If these were actually steel boned that would be ridiculous. Mine has not busted yet so I haven't seen the boning myself but I am starting to suspect that the "medical grade" boning they insisted on is just plastic boning. Anyway the sales women seemed very adamant on that policy so I didn't push them. I believed for a while that I could "tuck the girls" a certain magical way as they advised and everything would be fine. After wearing it three times, tucking and lacing every way I can, I have to not only relent that it's just not going to look good but I've noticed it cuts painfully into my hips when I'm not wearing the three layers of skirts with my costume. I emailed Casta Diva through their website, hoping to reach someone above the sales women, to ask to exchange the corset for an underbust with hip lacing. I don't even want my money back, and I would happily pay the cost of shipping both items, I just want something that fits. Well I received a chilly response this morning that I had spent an hour in their shop (sure didn't feel like an hour to me, but even so, apparently that's a very long time to buy a $200 intimate item, if it is someone please tell me I'm out of line) and they reiterated that there are no refunds and no returns. Apparently there was a large sign that I missed. I could have missed it, yes, but since I was apparently there a whole hour I'm surprised at myself.

Anyway, I might have been a repeat customer in the future, spreading the happy word about Casta Diva, but now I'm just so disappointed in their business practices. I paid for my corset and now I'm not their problem. I will not be returning for another corset and I will not recommend them to anyone. I can get a higher quality corset elsewhere for a quarter of the price. And those sellers offer returns. I only wish I had seen other's reviews earlier.

I as owner of Casta Diva aka Corsets By Casta Diva am fed up with out and out lies said by folks who no matter what you try to do as a service provider will be unhappy... that being said, we have more who are happy with the hands on service we do provide on a daily basis ... most of these negative reviews are old and many are regenerated.
For truth about my company, read posts from Facebook Corsets By Casta Diva... also... truth here...some of these folks work for our competitors ALL who actually import their wares.. WE ARE MADE IN THE USA

I bought one of their corsets at the LA ren fest and within only 2 times of wearing it the bone in the font had popped out on top of that when I went to the next fest to see about getting it repaired they basically said too bad we have your money and moved on to fitting someone else of course this was when I loudly told the woman running the boutique that after only 2 wears a 'steel' bone corset shouldn't fall apart. which by the way there were NO actually steel bones in this pice of crap!!

I am by far not a veteran of purchasing a corest. I walked in because my husband and I purchased some online that do not compliment my endowment of chest. These corsets seemed to have a better shape and size to the bust and I was immediately in love with the corsets. They were quite busy, so waiting was not an issue, they let me know politely that they would be with me as soon as they could. I got measured, and they put me in a 31, when I said I was intending on losing more weight she even helped me by saying I could get a slightly smaller size, and it would fit about the same and give me room to lace more later. Sadly, my husband and I just moved via the military and are in debt till they reimburse us, we had also just been overcharged by the hotel for our room and were overdrawn until we can go in tomorrow (this happened today, Sunday, Feb 19th). As soon as we started asking where they were local, and if we could come see them to purchase later or if they came to other anime conventions, she started seeming angry, and made comments about how the corset would be gone, there isn't a store front and pretty much just stopped talking to us altogether.

If you want a business to STAY IN BUSINESS you need to be pleasant with ALL of your consumers, not just those that can buy. If I had pushed it, my husband would have purchased it for me right then and there. However, SOME OF US have to make decisions about income because we are living on minimal income and have a child. We don't get $180+ per customer... possibly thousands in a single day. I will not purchase from them ever simply for the lackluster treatment I received when I expressed intent to buy after we could afford it.

I have lived/worked on the road at Renaissance Faires for about 13 years. Casta Diva products are simply not worth the money.

For starters, their management and staff is very unprofessional toward customers and competitors alike. Of course, if you go in ooing and ahhing with clear intent to purchase, they'll give you the royal carpet. If you go in decked out in Leslie Harris, Moresca, etc, they'll burn holes in the back of your head with their piercing glares. It's happened to me at more shows than one.

Great way to run a business.. I'm sorry, it's just that shouldn't competition drive innovation rather than slander?

While I've found myself very attracted to some of their fabrics, luckily I've managed to avoid the impulse to purchase. I spent three years fitting women at a bodice/corset shop at faire and I can't tell you how many women came in, literally in tears because their Casta Diva bodice was cutting/digging in. Many times, a bodice can fit badly just due to poor lacing by the customer. But there are also many times where the garment is clearly of bad structural design.

We are all shaped differently - our bones, musculature, and fat are in different places. Their bodices are designed in such a way that they'll fit a couple body shapes flawlessly, and the rest of us are left looking like dump. No amount of crafty lacing can fix bad design.

In the end, I'm not saying that Casta Diva is terrible quality, but I would certainly never call it good quality. And considering their shockingly poor attitude and inflated prices, I'd much rather support other shops.

I have to say - I am flabbergasted by some of these other reviews - I purchased a Casta Diva corset and I have to say I am incredibly happy with it. I ran into them at Philcon and they measured and fit me on the spot. I was impressed with the look and fit of my corset then, but that was just the beginning. I wore it to Wicked Faire and was repeatedly stopped and complimented and asked for my picture. The ladies I ran into could not get over the fact that this corset fit me so perfectly; It didn't cause the usual "shelf" or "spillage" effect. It didn't press my chest awkwardly to the level of my chin. I had no problems bending, sitting or even lying down and getting up again and had no fear of wardrobe malfunction despite the low cut and no chemise. I realized that while I was snugly laced in my perfectly fitted corset, that the corsets all around me were not fitting their owners properly at all - they were riding up or buckling and allowing for a lot of unflattering bulging. If you see her, I would swallow some pride and listen to the Casta Diva merchant - she sure knew what she was doing when she fit her wares to me.

RUDE! Never in my life have I had such a hard time from a corsetiere. I understand that each corset has it's own size and cut depending on the maker. When I asked for a specific size, the woman refused to sell it to me because it wasn't my size. I was buying it for my sister, I had her measurements and knew her size. When I explained this to the women she snidely replied that I should bring my sister in and have her sized properly, I am not a corset maker so I wouldn't understand. I have been wearing a corset since I was 16, I'm 28, I know what I am talking about, and I don't need her telling me I don't. Never again!

Way overpriced for the poor quality and very poor and unprofessional service. I was wearing a corset from a different place while I was shopping and when the saleswoman noticed she started bad mouthing it. When I said I wanted to be fitted in one of their corsets, she said that she would, but if I didn't buy it and wear it out of the shop she wasn't going to help me get back in my other one. Well, fair enough, but once she got the corset I was interested in on me, one of the rivets popped and she pretended not to notice. I got out of the corset and left. A nice man dressed like Captain Sparrow laced me up in mine afterward, so it wasn't all bad.
