My Happy Place 5 Star Rating - World class

Mahogany is one of my favorite places to go to after a long day in the office or for a quick afternoon drink on Saturday. I have to say that I am extremely disappointed that citysearch would allow a bitter vengeful employee such as fillygrl to post such an outrageous review.

Please explain to me how management could always be stepping on the customer's toes and making the customers' feel about an inch tall? If the management at Mahogany made the customers feel about an inch tall they would be out of business! Mahogany is, and will remain one of my favorite places. I recommend this place to anyone!

Citysearch,
I am disappointed in your lack of filtering.

Pros: Service, Atmosphere, Drinks

like a second home 5 Star Rating - World class

I don't know what my agony is talking about, other than that it looks like a former employee, not a customer wrote it. I have been a 3-5 night a week regular for about 3 years, and have never seen the management less than gracious with customers. The staff is always great, genuinely cares, and is extremely knowledgeable. The food is excellent, you cant go wrong with anything on the menu, and the drink selection is fantastic. When in doubt order a dirty daddy and hope you have a ride home!

Pros: Great drinks, cigars, and staff
Cons: none!

More like.... "My Agony"!!!! 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Sure the idea is great, the setting is nice, and the staff (by staff I mean waitresses) are great.... but you can feel really uncomfortable by the management/ownership there. Not only did I overhear the owner yell at his staff in a very inappropriate way in front of customers- but later on over heard him talking trash about a customer he was just pretending to be nice to. It was a busy night and the staff were really trying hard to take care of everyone... but with someone always stepping on your toes and making you feel about an inch tall... no wonder things were all out of sort! Personally, I would never go back to a place where they treat staff and customers in such a manner!!!

Pros: Friendly Waitresses
Cons: Harsh and Demeaning Owner

good pizza annd charcuterie plate 5 Star Rating - World class

My wife and I have been to Mahogany 3 or 4 times now, and it is my favorite bar in Philly. Warm, elegant atmosphere, a TV or 2 to watch the game, friendly service, quiet. I have never seen it too crowded, even on weekends. The pizza and charcuterie (meat an cheese) plate are both very good. Good for after work; most clients are dressed well.

Pros: relatively quiet, food, drinks, atmosphere, no crowd scene
Cons: a little on the expensive side; parking, of course

What a GREAT place!!! Wanted to sip a drink and smoke a stoogie. However I didn't want to be in some smokey copy cat cigar bar. Great service!! Great food!! And they made the BEST expresso martini I ever had. Lovely staff of classy ladies and the biggest selection of single cigars you will find. If you are in Philadelphia you got to check this out.
