We were picked up from JFK by Rahim, the driver on 10 may. We were supposed to go to Double Tree Hilton at King of Prussia (KOP) but he dropped us at Double Tree suites at Plymouth intersection ! I booked and prepaid over phone USD 180 and also mailed them my destination and reconfirmed our destination over phone. The driver was rude and left us at the wrong place at 0130am and left saying he won't go to KOP. Repeated phone calls to Dave's was not of any help. We took a taxi to go to our actual hotel at KOP after one hour. I would not recommend anyone to use their services. If you need to book don't pay in advance for Dave's Worst services...

I was picked up on 8/31/11 at 12:00 pm to go to Newark NJ airport. It was about 90F outside, and the bus had no air conditioning. By the time the last passenger was picked up, for some people on the bus it was getting pretty close to their flight time. At that point the driver said that we would have a 15 min pit stop. One of the passengers said that may be we could make it shorter since she was afraid to miss her flight.The driver, staring her down, said,"I'm going to make a stop whether you want it or not. It is not about you, it is about everybody". It was not clear who EVERYBODY was since we all were too stunned to open our mouths.
So, we made a stop at the fuel plaza; it lasted 25 min instead of promised 15. For 20 out of those 25 minutes we all could observe our driver having a personal conversation with a female plaza employee (I think it is safe to assume the conversation was personal, since the episode had no clear bearing to the very simple business of driving people).
After the driver was done socializing, he collected our payments. One of the women said,"I thought I would be at the airport by now". Once again, the driver stared at her and said,"I already told you: IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU, IT IS ABOUT EVERYBODY". Once again, you could hear EVERYBODY'S jaws drop, but not much else. The driver appeared openly hostile to us and somewhat unhinged. Personally, I was afraid he would just walk away and leave us stranded there.
I was not late for my flight, but the trip took me 4 hours (AUGUST, NO air conditioning).
Unfortunately, I payed in full for round trip. On 9/9/11 I was back at Newark. At 12:30 pm I already had my luggage and called Dave's for pick up. I was told I would be picked up at 2:00 pm. This, however, was not to happen. I called them several times, each time being told that the driver was 10-15 min away and was being slowed down by traffic. Somehow, after the 2nd call I became convinced it would be the same driver. Indeed, the very same guy showed up at 3:40 pm. Without offering me help with my luggage, he proceeded to chat up the lady at the ground transportation counter. When I expressed that I was anxious to go, he said,"You waited for 3 hours, you can wait 5 more minutes". Eventually, I arrived home at 6:05pm, which makes my trip from Newark to Philly just a bit shorter than a transatlantic flight. On the bright side, air conditioning worked this time. The funny thing is, the guy still expected a tip.
I was pretty outraged by this kind of service, and made several attempts to reach management on the phone. Finally on 9/15/11 I managed to talk to Rona who is apparently management but not senior. She was quite impressed by the story and halfway through said that I needed to talk to senior manager. This guy did not introduce himself. By way of greeting he said," So you are angry because the driver wanted to pee?' NO KIDDING, HE ACTUALLY SAID THAT. I said that my problem was not with his peeing, but his incredible rudeness and his wasting time on personal conversations and afterwards compensating by dangerous driving. He said,"How do you know it was a personal conversation?" Well, you want to call it a BUSINESS conversation? What kind of BUSINESS are we talking about? At this moment he hung up on me. How about THAT for customer service?
Dear Dave's! Times are really tough. For example, you can't afford to have all your buses air conditioned. Your website looks like 90-year old grandma designed it. On top of that, you have to deal with customers! May be if you don't openly hate them, there will be more of them, and then you will have more business, and may be then one day you will have enough to go see the world yourselves...Just a suggestion you may want to consider.
In the meantime, it is really touching to see the manager covering up for an out-of-control driver. Don't take me wrong: I am all for healthy personal life. But may be not when there is a busload of anxious passengers waiting.

Real cheaters...real money stealers...thiefs...my flight was late for 30 minutes and i missed the shuttle. i called the cust service and they the next is after 3 hours, as i am with a 2 year old in the winter, so i thought i would find a different shuttle service. i checked with cust service and they said i can go for other options but they didn't tell me that my card will be charged.

When i asked why my card is charged for $165.00 even when i didn't use the sevice, they just kept me waiting on the phone and finally cut the line. the worst customer service.

Please avoid this shuttle service if possible.

Horrible limousine service!
Beware that the service is awful, they are rude abusive and could not care about the customer. They were late and made us wait hours picking us up.

Crazy driving, vans are old and dangerous.

Late picking us up, rude to us, van had missing and broken parts for seatbelts and driving was dangerous, making us really want the seatbelts.

Keep your family safe.

i called the company to make reservation to pick up my father and brother from JFK on a flight that was coming in at 10:55. they stated that they would pick them up @ 1:00pm, and that all they should do is call them when they clear customs. They did and at that time they told them that they would not be able to pick them up until 3pm. Do you think they would call ahead to inform their customer that they would be two hours late. Hell NO!!!!!!!!!!! you have to call them to find out. THEIR SERVICE SUCKS I will e-mail again to let you all know exactly what time they actually picked them up.

Dave's Limo was by far the worst shuttle ride I have ever taken! The vans were dirty with little or no air conditioning, the drivers were rude and drove unsafely, no one answered the phone at the dispatch for the return trip, the trips were horrendously long-6 hours from Phil. to JFK / 4 1/2 from JFK to Phil. I will NEVER use Dave's Limo again.

Dave's Limo was by far the worst shuttle ride I have ever taken! Horrible service. Not only did the shuttle leave 2 hrs late but the dispatch personnel was extremely rude for no reason. They did not call me back as they said they would. When I asked if they could drop my boyfriend off with the first passenger who was being dropped off then i'd pick him up there since he's been traveling already for a long time (over 30 hrs since hobart, tasmania!) the response i got back was a very rude well everyone's been traveling long! I wasn't asking for any favors so I don't know why I should get such a rude reception! I would never use this service again.

Not only was the staff at Dave's rude, rude, rude, but they had my 76 year old father wait 51/2 hrs. at Newark Airport for a retun trip home. Totally un-acceptable.
I would never use or recommend them to anyone.

i travel many times a year sometimes to jfk sometimes to phila airport. i have tried other companies over the past 20 years but always return to daves. they are most often then not very dependable(sometimes I wait longer than I like) i always ask for rona she is the best, very help and always makes sure the drivers assist me with my luggage. over the years i have heard other passenger complain. not me, i am a fan.

I cant believe I have to give them 1 star when they deserve ZERO. I trusted them to take my teenager to JFK and back from Ft washington. The driver on the way back drove 90 miles an hour swerving in and out of traffic, took smoke breaks and was rude to his passengers. The only time he smiled was when he was waiting for a tip...Fat chance. ...The 2 owners do not get on the phone to take complaints...amazing theyre still in business...

Arranged for transfer from Newark to Phl airport with my daughter recently. We were scheduled to arrive at 10pm- dispatcher made a big deal that they stopped pick ups after 11pm. We luckily arrived a bit early- called Dave's. Was told driver would come. Waited 45min- called again, was told driver in at JFK picking up passenger. Would be at Newark in 1/2 hr, 50 minutes later (11:50 pm) van showed up, my daughter and I were the 10 & 11th passengers. The luggage was stacked so high, he could not see out of rear window, and seatbelts were impossible to use. My mistake, I assumed from the website that said airport transfer, that thats was it was, not a personal taxi service. We stopped in 2 different locations(Cottman Ave area), and then mid- drive, the driver recalled that he had to drop off a passenger in center city. Then he could not find Rt 76 to get to airport. Arrived at Philly airport after 2 am. Still 2 passengers going to Cherry Hill. Are you kidding me?? I will never use this company again. I get the feeling that they jam as many people into a trip as possible and there is no consideration if the passengers are in the van for hours. Driver was nice enough,but drove very fast (like 75-80 mph) I was glad that we did not have a connection in Phila otherwise we never would have made it. NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!

My 90 yr old mother-in-law and my sister-in-law arranged this limo service to pick up the 90 yr old in PHL at 12:30 am three days ago. (They had used it for a number of years with no problems.) My husband and I had accompanied her both ways between PHL and San Francisco. Her arrival was a little tardy but within a good tolerance at PHL. Satisfactory on that. She had a pre-paid round trip ticket and was scheduled for her pickup in PHL. When we arrived right on time from CA, we called, as directed, from the transportation desk near baggage. Steve, the dispatcher, told us he had no drivers and she would have to find another way home. My husband, the employees at the desk, and I all tried to make Steve understand that we were talking about a 90 yr old woman who needed to go home right then. We asked if Dave would pick up the tab for a taxi. No. A hotel? No. We asked to talk to a supervisor. No one there. We were told to call back at 9 am. Nothing even about a refund. No information about what time the first "limo" would leave in the morning. A cab was $80 at that hour. The Hilton, where we were staying on Priceline, wanted $150 for the night and would not consider a lower rate. We battled with them for a while until my husband talked them into putting a rollaway in our room for her. Today, I spoke with Dave's manager (works only from 9 am to 2 pm and was not available at all the day of our fiasco). She is giving my mother-in-law a gift cert and admits that her scheduler should not have taken the reservation at all as they do not send anyone to the airport after 11 pm. We did get my mother-in-law on a Dave's shuttle (definitely not a limo) around 2 pm after waiting 45 min - they refused to give us a time certain even under our circumstances. My husband and I waited on the curb to make sure she actually pulled away. She was going to Fox Chase area of PHL and got a tour of Mt Airy first so was a long time getting home. I would certainly not recommend Dave's to anyone wanting dependable service.

I had to wait for one hour at the airport to be picked up. Then I had to sit in the van to wait for ten other passengers to be stuffed into the van with all the luggage.. That took at least a half an hour. Then I had to travel all over the northeast for the drop offs. It took a total of 2 hours and twenty minutes to arrive home, I had a medical condition that I needed to treat with a nebulizer and my request to be taken home sooner was denied. I called Manny, the owner the next day , and he refused to compensate me for the unreasonable delay in arriving home. I will not use this service again

My family uses Daves Limousine every year to go to the airport. They pick all 8 of us up, they're always on time to take us and we never have to wait long when we get back. The girls in the office have always been nice when answering questions or if you have to make changes to your reservation. We have traveled at different times of the day and have always found the drivers to be polite and they always help with the luggage.

Note that if you are going to or from an airport (we went to JFK), Dave's is more of a shuttle service than anything else.

They use vans and pick up and drop off several other people in one trip and may even make a stop at another airport on the way to the one you want.

Let's start with the good things about Dave's Limo...
They were the least expensive.
The lady who usually answered the phone when I called was nice.
Someone always answered the phone when I called.
They called me the day before like they said they would and picked us up on time.

Now for the bad news.
They said they would get us to JFK by 6 PM. Well, they were an hour late. I don't think it was traffic. They do their best to do what is good for Dave's and not for their customers.

We were told to call them when we arrived back at JFK and they would tell us where to meet them. Before I signed up with them, I asked for all the details and was told there was a van leaving JFK at 5 and another one at 7. Well, the 5 o'clock van didn't leave JFK until after 6:20. I can't imagine when the 7 o'clock van left there.

Finally, the driving was terrible. Make that horrible dangerous. Speeding, rolling through residential stop signs, slamming on the brakes. It was scary. And another person I know who used Dave's reported a similar thing to me. I reported it to the owner who said it was news to him. They are going to be in a terrible accident some day.

If you use Dave's Limo, be aware you are not going to receive stellar service.

Note that if you are going to or from an airport (we went to JFK), Dave's is more of a shuttle service than anything else.

They use vans and pick up and drop off several other people in one trip and may even make a stop at another airport on the way to the one you want.

Dave's do what they say in that they get you where you're going but beyond that it's pure frustration. Beyond over-booked vans with stained and broken seats and dirty interiors the customer service from the intial call to make a reservation to the drive to the airport leaves one wondering how this company is still in business. I've used Dave's four times over the last year and a half hoping each time that my experience would improve but unfortunately it hasn't. I've been verbally abused by call takers in the office and drivers alike. Of course there has been an exception or two but my over-all opinion is that Dave doesn't have a grip on his employees. After all this I have to commend Kim (on the other end of the phone), superb job and John my driver on two of the four occassions... keep the wonderful attitude and sense of humor (name one of those pebbles for me). Over-all, I will not use Dave's again. There are other shuttle services in the area, just do your research. Trinity. Philly Shuttle. Super Trans.

First, one must call them from the airport ground transportation location to get them to come pick you up after your plane has arrived. the wait from the time of this phone call can be as much as 30 minutes. I would hope that there is some better way to make sure that vehicles are available for pickup than through this call and hope someone is nearby method. The second problem I have is with their web presence. it is great that they have a web page, but it would be better if they actually used it as advertised. DO NOT USE the web page to request information. It would appear that no one checks the e-mails generated when you fill out any of the forms. You must call them directly to get any information or make any reservations. In this day and age I find it reprehensibe that any company should have a web page which is misleading.

I am extremely pleased with this service. I have used thdem several times and find them to always be on time and get you to your flight in the time promised. I also found them less expensive then a taxi. The vans are large and very comfortable and have room for your liggage. Also, at drop off point they help you with luggage. My family has taken this to go to the airport. And they provide a pretty good service. I havent heard any complaints about them yet. So i would recommend them. Its the best way to travel these days anyway with the gas prices going up and toll prices that are insane. I mean come on it cost like $60 just to go to NYC. So you might as well take this Philadelphia Owned business.
