Not your average pizza
Pizza Pi-er is to-die-for pizza. I love all the unique toppings and flavor combinations available. You are limited only by your own imagination. And the ingredients are always fresh. They offer free delivery too so if you're in for the night you do have more options than your basic chain style pizza.

Just wasn't blown away...
I wanted to be blown away by Pizza Pi er's "have it your way" gourmet pizza approach, but I've been left cold the couple times I've had it. Kind of like when you get the salad bar, and you choose all really good ingredients, but the salad just doesn't taste like you imagined it would...but with pizza.
I think these guys stay in business from the beaucoup fliers they drop on the universities every year. I don't know any locals who swear by them.

Love it!
Great Pizza - traditional and also wheat crusts. large assortment of toppings. Also dessert pizzas - which are great. Only 4 tables and window counter/bar stools - mostly for takeout. On street parking can be a problem - Pricing average.

Pizza NYC Style
The atmosphere is decent, the service is fast, the prices aren't bad, and the pizza comes in practically a million different varieites -- I recommend the Buffalo pizza, which comes with buffalo chicken and red onions. But it's just not everything it seems: the pizza is too greasy and sometimes cold, and it isn't very welcoming.

Soggy Crust
I just ordered their pizza for the first time and the crust was soggy and completely under cooked. Also the "gourmet" prosciutto looked like little pieces of cut up ham, and didn't taste like anything better than that. If I wanted plain old ham on my pizza, I'd put it on myself. The sauce was ok...

One of worst pizzas I've had in RI
There are a myriad of good pizza places all over the state of RI. And, they all have their own unique charm. I was so happy when I moved to RI because before that I lived in Boston where the pizza is AWFUL. I'm from NY so perhaps I'm a bit critical. Now to the point...I ordered pizza from Pizza Pie-er a few times and it's always been horrible. Their gimmick is a choice of many crusts, sauces and toppings. I haven't found a good one yet. Their crusts are sub-par and their cheese is cheap. People who like this pizza either don't know good pizza or don't have good taste (as far as I'm concerned). Right down the street you can get WONDERFUL pizza at Fellini's. It's on par with the best NYC pizza. On top of the pizza being awful, the service is deplorable. I called one weekend and a downright nasty woman answered the phone. She told me to "hurry up" because I was taking too long to place my order. Natural selection should really kick in and eliminate this 'weak link'. If you think Minerva pizza is good, then you might like Pizza Pie-er. Oh, I forgot to mention that this place is EXPENSIVE!!!

takes forever
i used the get this pizza all the time. lately the service has sucked big time. the last 4-5 times i've ordered it's taken over an hour each time to deliver it. the pizza still rocks, but not worth the long wait considering all the choices in providence. if you do go here try the cajun chicken pie. it rules!
