Hot Club has a great after work crowd during the week of people who want to enjoy the nice weather and a cocktail overlooking the Providence waterfront. Weekend nights tend to be a bit crazier and more crowded.

The Hot Club, of "Something About Mary Fame," is situated on the Providence waterfront. It is wonderful during the warm months of the year. The building is located on a dock and has huge bay windows that are removed during the warm weather. It has two indoor bars and a Tiki bar located on a spacious deck area which is part of the property. So, during the warm weather, you can drink outside on the deck. The clientele ranges between 21 to 51. The only drawback is that the New England winters stunt it's best attributes, causing the deck to go unoccupied and the big bay windows to be closed. All in all, this is a great spot from mid-Spring to mid-Fall.
PROS: Great warm weather location.
CONS: Not a great cold weather location.

I love this place but the bartenders are ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worst service in the city by far. I've been going there for years and the same lame bartenders have been there. Theyre depressing and never thank you when you tip. If it had halfway decent bartenders it would be superb. It's a great place cause of its location and its patrons.

I love grabbing a drink and just sitting out on the deck. Staff is friendly enough. Drinks are reasonable. Being on the water helps this place a great deal.

If longevity counts for anything obviously the Hot Club is doing something right. You get a very good mix of people from suits to jeans from young to old. Reasonable drink prices and decent service. In the summer the deck is open with a seperate bar. The club sits right on the Providence River. I have spent many summer days that started with a few drinks for lunch and found myself leaving at midnight! The only downside is the parking, lot only holds maybe 10-12 cars and on street parking is basically nonexsistent. It also can get very crowded and busy in the summer with winter months being very quite.

The Hot Club is great! In the summer after work, if the weather is nice, there's no place like it.
It gets a good crowd, weekend nights can be a little more annoying. It does get a nice mix of people & is definitely about a zillion times better than the Fish Company next door. Not as many *meatheads.*
