I really like their pad thai and their tofu. Most other places get the tofu too spongy or too overcooked, they do it just right. Large portions. Nice appetizers too. Pretty inside.

Parking can be hit-or-miss outside for lunch but usually is not a problem for dinner. Nice seating area. Good pad thai.

I went to Pakarang with an out-of-town acquaintance who doesn't get Thai very often. Pakarang had been highly recommended by one of my co-workers so I was hoping for the best. I'm happy to report that they did not disappoint. We had Chicken & Basil, Shrimp pad thai, and coconut soup - all very fresh tasting and certainly some of the best I've had in the many cities I've lived. My companion was extremely pleased and indicated he is rather picky about Thai and this easily was some of the best he's had also. Service was pleasant and efficient with good menu recommendations and our water was kept filled, which I feel is a good hallmark of attentive service. Decor is a bit funky but not tacky - more of a urban loft feel with lots of exposed brick. Overall, two thumbs up!

Editorial from

An American restaurant calling itself "exquisite" would need to show either real flair or a real sense of humor. Being Thai on the one hand and quite decent on the other, Pakarang justifies its boast. The menu is of the cacophonous…
