This is a great place to take the kids on rainy day. They always have new exhibits and interesting activities for the kids. My mother has taken the kids on several occassions.

This is a great museum to go to and spend time with the kids. There are always things going on and the kids never seem to get bored. They change things all the time so you never get tired of going and seeing the same thing.

The Providence Children's Museum is a small museum that is more for small kids. I brought my 9 year old niece and she was bored after a short time. They have a dress up room, an animal doctor's office and fun house mirrors. It is not in the best part of town either. Make sure to lock your doors. It is inexpensive and small kids were having a blast.

PROS: Fun for small kids, inexpensive
CONS: Not in good part of town

A great learning place for little ones. I think this place is a great place for kids up to about 10. It is not only fun but educational. I find this is a great rainy day activity. However once you go, it gets old because the activities don't change often. Over school vacations, the children's museum offers many different special activites for the kids. The price is very reasonable and many times the local library has free or low cost passes.

The Childrens museum has been a staple in Rhode Island since I was a child. Both fun and educational this place can keep the kids busy for a day. They offer many specialized programs so there is always something new to see when you visit. This has been a staple in my family since I was a child. It is reasonably priced and there are always coupons available.

I have had a great time with kids of all ages at this museum; exhibits change often so it's tough to get bored. Most everything is interactive and educational-many things adults will find fascinating as well. It could be considered a bit pricey to get into and difficult to find/park at, but I would say it is worth it-it's a unique experience.

My kids absolutely love this museum. It has so many interactive areas that it is hard to get to them all. One of the favorite areas of the museum is the water room. The museum provides covers so the kids don't get too wet. It is good for a lot of age ranges too. Prices are reasonable and memberships are available. You can go on certain days which are either free or discounted but those days are usually really crowded.

This museum is small, but there are a few things that keep the kids wanting to go back. They have a HUGE water table play area. Most activities are geard toward the younger crowd (10 and under). Often they have story tellers in too. When looking for their building in Providence, look for the building with the large dragon on top of it.

Went with a 4 and 6 year old boy and they had fun. There were not enough people around to tell about the exhibits, but the kids enjoyed themselves.
