Ratings_icons Near By is 360 Fitness Facility

Rachel R.

The Y is great for beginners. Another option, close by is 360 Fitness on Maple Avenue. It is brand new, very clean, smaller with a lot of strength training options... Give it a try!

Ratings_icons Join another gym

bill w.

Way to expensive. Can't use what you like because it's so small. Members of the gym are very rude. The equipment is very old. Signing out machines only causes problems. Join the Newman YMCA

the weight room is pretty clean and nice for beginners, but you run out of weights rapidly, especially if anyone else is working out at the same time. Good cardio section, but machines show inaccurate results and are never fixed. My biggest issue with the YMCA in Barrington is their rather nice basketball court. Nice court that you can never use as a basketball court. They put all the little kids activities in the basketball gym instead of one of their several other rather useless rooms, leaving those who do enjoy basketball with no way to play. I've gone approximately 80 times over the past six months and not once has the basketball court been open. Due to these restrictions, I have to belong to three gyms. A weightlifting gym in Warwick which is top notch, another gym at college (RIC) for basketball and swimming, and the YMCA (when i don't have time to go elsewhere)
Overall very disapointing for the price and all of its potential is greatly misused

Ratings_icons My Child Is Better Off With A Babysitter

N C. | insider Insider | Rank: 15,213

They make it seem good with the titles for their programs, but the camp doesn't really have any money and there are no supplies. The kids are occupied with circle games and things that involve little or no supplies. Your money goes to paying the counselors, not to the actual camp experience. My child is better off with a babysitter.

PROS: Making new friends
CONS: No supplies, kids get very bored.
