When my family moved to Rock Hill in 1999, I soon began searching for a church home. I hadn't been active in church for quite some time, but felt the Lord leading me. I immediately felt comfortable at this church, mostly due to Pastor Steve Hogg's inspirational gift of teaching. It is almost guaranteed that I will come away from church feeling as if his sermon was designed expressly for me. This is a large congregation, but it is easy to be drawn into the family if you just get involved. There are many Sunday school classes for adults and children, arranged by age. Family picnics twice a year help to draw people closer together. There are often special activities for the children thanks to Kathy Troutman, the children's ministry leader. There is a fabulous dayschool (Sunbeams) that my boys have grown up in. A few years ago, FBC moved from their downtown location to Dave Lyle Blvd and now we are ready to expand again. Soon we will break ground on Phase 2, which will include an incredible area designed specifically for the youth, along with a gymnasium and offices. With God's grace and the hard work of the congregation, I pray that this family of faith continues to impact Rock Hill the way it impacted me those years ago when I first entered.

PROS: Bible based teaching, location, education, family
CONS: none
