PROS:
There are a ton of things to do - from 10 pools to a water park and Pirate Parties to Jungle Blasts. There's a huge playground, a huge arcade, and minigolf onsite. Some packages even include free golf (you pay cart fee) and meals. It's right on the beach and within walking distance to the Family Kingdom Amusement Park. They have an underground walkway so that you can safely cross Ocean Boulevard. Their prices can't be beat... but....
CONS:
This resort is OLD and run-down. The power went out while we were there and there was no back-up generator. It was pitch black. Very unsafe. There were leaky ceilings everywhere. The rooms were very humid and everything felt wet. The food in the restaurant was pretty gross.
Recommendation?
If you care more about things to do and price than the quality of your room, Sea Mist would be great. But if you are looking for a nice, clean, comfortable room, look elsewhere!

This is not a Hilton, Double Tree, or Sheraton. It's got nice beach views and access, and the rooms are funtional, basically clean, and reasonably priced. The whole facility is in the process of being redone so with time it may be flashier, but no doubt it'll be more expensive.

We visited the Sea Mist Resort one time. The room made our eyes itch and burn when we walked in and was very dirty, so we complained and got a new room which was much better. They were in the process of redoing the rooms at the time and our new room had been remodeled, still an okay room that came with our vacation package (upgrades are available though). Some of the staff was friendly, but there were a few that were extremely rude. They do offer a seasonal family value package which offers lots to do with the kids. And they have a nice waterpark across the street for guests only. I really did like using the underground tunnel instead of having to cross the busy street with the kids. We haven't been back there since that one visit, so all their updating should be complete by now. So you may not have the problems we had.

The Sea Mist is really nice, we like it a lot. It has great amenities and a great beach. I would definitely recommend this property
There is so much to do for the entire family. Whether you have young or older children, they will not get bored. Even my older parents enjoyed it. There are so many different room types that you can find the one that suits your family's needs the best. Rates are reasonable. The resort is close to other things to do and see in Myrtle Beach as well.
Sea Mist is a very family friendly Myrtle Beach resort. Plenty to see and do. An affordable beach vacation whether you need a large space or a standard room, there are lots of styles to select from based on your needs and budget. It is a very fun place to stay, no worries or hassles, just go and enjoy.
