The only way you could say this restaurant is any good is if you like grease and bad service! Lots of people that love to induldge in grease slop would say it is the best food! They are very inconsistant with the food! Unfortunatly my mother likes to go when she visits so I have been several times and on one occassion my fried shrimp came out with the shells fried to them but could never get any one to take care of that problem cause the excuse was the regular cook was on vaction, and to many other things to go into but you get the picture. Every time we eat there we have to get up and fill our own drinks! We actually had someone get an attitude over us looking for a refill. Oh well, my own bad for not standing up to my mother but she has bad eating habits and she likes the greasy food, she's not crazy about the service however and whatever you do don't order tap water! It taste like sewage!!!

Absolutely awful food Greasy and messy with nothing but dessert to be desired. BUT the cake was dry and inedible. There are better places to eat at cheaper prices.

Sewee's is fairly popular and can be crowded on weekend nights. It's an old country store turned into restaurant. Outdoor seating available. Good southern cooking. We have been there a few times and the food is good, but the tables were packed in pretty tight and the service can be a bit slow.

Prices are quite good, so if you can go during the week, it's worth a visit.

Worth the 15 min drive from the the beaches (Isle of Palms and Sullivans Island)This has got to be the BEST seafood in and around the Charleston area. The desserts are to die for and if you like a place that still has Coca Cola in a glass bottle this is the place for you. Try the She Crab soup! Reasonable prices for todays expanding food and gas prices! Dinner and DESSERT for two was under $50.00 and we had PLENTY of food. Try the fried pickles for an appetizer or enjoy the complimentary hush puppies. Good home cooking and seafood

Pros: food - especially the desserts

Cons: parking, air conditioning kinda hot in the summer

Even though I've been wanting to go there for years, I finally made it to Seewee for the first time this past weekend. It was as good as I had heard that it was. While it's not the fanciest place in the area, the atmosphere reminded me of going to fish camps with my grandparents as a child. Outside, they had a fire and a bluegrass band playing which was great entertainment for the brief wait for our table. Everyone should try this restaurant for some great Southern food.
