Madsen Brenda - Piedmont Surgical Assoc-York

The wonderful billing staff said they recieved my address from the hospital. The address was wrong, I never received a bill and they put me in collection for the small amount my insurance didn't cover. When the collection showed up on my credit report I called immediatly to handle the bill. When I complained that the bill was on my credit report and they didn't have the due dilligence to acquire my correct address the girl hung up on me. The hospital has my correct address, I have recieved bills from them since my surgery. Piedmont Surgical Associates PA lied and never bothered to get the right address after monthes of return to sender notices. If their office policies are that inept it reflects on the quality of patient care. They clearly do not care about individual patients. You are seen as a $, alive or dead.

Dr. Crain removed half of my thyroid after my thyroid continued to produce fairly large cysts/tumors. Dr. Crain is very understandable doctor. He has wonderful bedside manner. My incision scar is unnoticeable after 2 years. He cares for the well-being of his patients. His office staff was VERY friendly and helpful. I would recommend him and his practice to anyone.

I went to Piedmont Surgical Associates and had an appointment with Dr. Corey Crain MD. I met with his physicians assistant first and she told me all about the surgery and told me about Dr. Crain and I was kind of hesitant knwing he hadn't done very many of the gastic bypass surgeries without having to cut me open. They wanted me to go to his seminar on the surgery and the office was confused as to when he was doing the seminar. They were very unorganized. When I finally did go to the seminar I am so glad I took my husband because he asked questions that I never thought of asking. I left more frightened of having this doctor do the surgery. So I go on the internet and searched and searched and heve changed my mind about the surgery for now until I can find a doctor I can trust.

PROS: none
CONS: hasn't done many gastric bypass surgeries that weren't open
