I came into the store once and received decent customer service...i went back sometime last year and got quick, one word ''why are YOU in the store'' kind of answers... like i was some thief trying to distract the sales clerk....even my 7 year old niece said ''that guy was mean''. I have since spent my money elsewhere...what a shame considering i drive past the store at least 3 times a week.

Alluding to Mr. Batch's statement regarding my amplifier. It was obviously the preamp stage from the beginning. Someone of your "expertise" should have known that immediately, as well as checked both stages for underlying problems to begin with. If you care about your equipment do not use John Batch or the Musicians Exchange for repair work or new purchases what so ever!! You will assume responsibility if THEY make a mistake, if the work done is insufficient, or if it is not done in a timely manner. All of which should be expected of any respectable business person. You lost money because you did not complete the job that Dave subcontracted you. So that sounds like something you should take up with him. As for the comments regarding my character. I had every right to be frustrated at that point. As I had been waiting completely patient for about two months with no correspondence regarding the status of the project, and then to receive my amplifier still out of order. Sorry for the headache, but in the real world you do not get two chances to do your job correctly. None of the rest of us do!

My name is John and I do repairs for Music Exchange. In regards to the negative comments about my work: if you be nice and not swear at Dave and give me a chance to look at the amp I would do this. Besides you have a 6l6gc power tube and a flyback protection diode installed in your amp which I lost money on, so why don't you grow up and act like a normal person. Dave tested the output stage and it worked fine. Your problem is with the preamp.

Excellent place for buying / selling / trading used musical instruments and gear ... and they have new stuff too! Incredible selection from high end to beginner level. I have been with dealing with Dave for years. He is a good Christian guy and will give you a fair deal.

Been dealing here for years... all you need to do is know what your are buying and selling, and what it/they are worth. Simple as that. If you do, then you can barter and get close to what you want to buy/sell for. If you want new stuff that is high end, go to Michael at Ye Olde Music Shop in Hanahan. However, you never know, if Dave can get it, he might be able to price match or cut a deal, too.

I've been to the Musician's Exchange several times to window shop and purchase an electric guitar. The entire staff is polite, helpful, and the merchandise is well priced and affordable. I plan to go there again to purchase an acoustic guitar.
