Hi-Lo Kennel

I have used this pet care place of business for over 7 years. One time, I had to use another "big name" kennel in Greenville. What a difference. My poor dog hated the other boarding kennel- she smelled when I picked her up and did not eat for days. Hi Lo takes great care of my dog- it is obvious- she loves it there. Clean, reputable, small on size and big on care. Hi Lo has been a real comfort. I will NEVER leave my dog at another boarding place. Take my lesson learned and call Hi Lo. Enjoy your vacation knowing your dog is getting the VERY best care at Hi Lo.

We have boarded our pets at many kennels over the years and Hi-Lo Kennels is without a doubt the BEST we've experienced and is the only kennel to use in the Greenville area. The staff clearly love their furry guests and treat them like family. Our dogs are actually happy and excited when we pull onto the property to drop them off "at camp"!!! The facility is ALWAYS squeaky clean plus their rates are very fair and reasonable for the exceptional level of care they provide.

The only kennel I have ever loved. I board my dog "Babe" at Hi Lo and have been doing business with them for years. She is so well taken care of- Babe is always clean, happy, and I can tell she likes the people who care for her. The place is spotless - the nicest kennel I have found in Greenville. I travel a good bit; I am glad I found this place. Hands down the place to leave your dog. I seldom recommend a business; this one gets 5 star status. Honest owners and people who truly care. Hi Lo is the only place you should leave your pet if you love them.

I have left my dogs at this kennel on several occasions over the years while visiting my son at college. They are very conscientious about the animals that stay there...they treat them as if they are their own family members. I know for a fact that one of the owners is constantly making sure that everything is cleaned and done in the proper fashion. My dogs were always happy when I left them..not just when I picked them up. They definitely cater to the individual animals needs, which is hard to find these days. I like when people are upfront with me and there is no problem with that at Hi-Lo! They want to make sure you understand what they do & how it is done along with the fees for everything before you leave.My dogs can;t wait to go back!!!

We've boarded our Lab here several times with nothing but a great experience. Hi-Lo owner and employees are caring pet lovers. Fees for boarding/bathing/exercise for dogs are ALL explained up front. No one should leave their pet without KNOWING what the cost will be.

More importantly, the pet is loved, taken care of and fed with the utmost of care. FORGET THE COMPLAINTS, THEY AREN'T VALID.

I chose Hi/Lo Kennel due to their years of experience. My dog is a bit nervous when I am not around & for her first boarding experience I wanted an experienced kennel. As to the comment below that placing a collar on a dog is abuse, get real. Leaving a dog in a kennels for hours on end because he won't relieve himself is abuse. I was willing to pay for play times if necessary. It means the workers are actually paying attention to the dogs and their needs!! I also really appreciate that she was bathed before entering the kennel area as are all dogs. I toured the kennel, it was clean and well kept. The workers took notes as to special treatment for my girl for instance knowing that she does not eat when away from home. Prices were clearly posted on the site. The property is wooded and the dogs are kept in a well fenced private area. When I went to pick her up the owner was reviewing the behavior of the dogs with her workers, seeing who was eating, who was upset and might need extra attention, etc. I highly recommend Hi/Lo due to the years of experience and personalized touch!

I have boarded my dogs at this kennel many times now. Their website accurately describes the kennel, and especially their prices, including "play times", which was mentioned to me several times while in correspondance with the kennel. I love how my dogs get baths while boarding, they do not go home smelling, and done at a very, very reasonable price. They are not stressed when they come home like they have been elsewhere. I will gladly pay a little extra to have my dogs treated well and watched over carefully, not stuffed in tiny cages, and are clean. Prices were never a surprise, very very upfront! My dogs love coming here!! Very good experience! I recommend to my friends all the time.

This place is a scam. We took our dogs there for a 24 hour stay as we moved into our new home. We were quoted one days stay at a reasonable price: $19. When we picked them up it was more than double: TWO DAYS, that's right, from 1:00 pm to 12:45 pm the next day was counted as two days. Plus the mandatory bath had a fee (not disclosed) and then there was an additional $5 charge for "outdoor" time. What a rip off. 24 hours = $52/per dog. This place is not even clean, smelled like smoke (cigarettes) and my dogs couldn't wait to leave! Simpsonville has much better alternatives we've since learned. Run away from this place, bad medicine here.

I boarded my dog there from the 27th of June until the 6th of July due to our yearly vacation. I was quoted on the phone a price range of 125.00/135.00 which is reasonable to me. When I went to pick him up I was astonished at the bill, 220.00. I questioned the people there but the owner was not available. I spoke with her today the 7th and was told my dog would not go outside to do his business so they had to force him out. I wonder if they took a leash, put it on collar and pulled him out which in my opinion is abuse. Anyway I questioned the owner of the addtional charges. Since he would not go out they took him out several times at a cost of 85.00 added to my bill. The owner refused any type of refund even though she had three cell phones numbers of ours and my friends number. I questioned her as to why she did not call me before doing this. I would not recommend this place to anyone, the pictures on their website are not very accurate. The office you check in at smelled highly of nicotine, the kennels were smelly, and not as clean as advertised. I would like to thank Miss Donna though for the wonderful job she did with my dog. My dog loved her to death which is very unususal for him.Helen J. Villarta
