We travel to the Isle of Palm area several times a year. Coconut Joes is exactly as advertised. A Ocean front Bar and Restaurant. The staff is freindly and nice, always giving my little girls sand dollars at the end of the meal, food is fresh and hot, but is bar type food, and the view is nice. If you are coming from out of state and expect to be WOWWED, well you need to realize that you are in South Carolina and things are a little slower here. Relax, sip your sweet tea and enjoy the view.

While in Isle of Palms with my friend we ate at Coconut Joe's for lunch. Our experience was great! Everyone was friendly and even though we ate inside, we had a beautiful view of the ocean. I had the Chicken spicy ranch wrap and it tasted great! I encourage anyone who visits Isle of Palms to eat here!

I had been a good customer of ACME Cantina until of late. I paid $5 for a $4 bill and the waiter Bobbie threw a dime at me. I thought I was paying a dollar tip. I have tipped thousands of dollars to ACME. The waiter told me to keep my damn dime. The problem evolved from the poor ink that they used in their out dated cash registers. I thought the bill was $4 but it was $4.90. The next time I came into ACME he refused to wait on me and ordered me out of the resturant. The employees lied to a friend of mine to cover up their rudeness and told him that I cursed and never tipped. I came prove that they are liars. I had another incident in the resturant a year ago with another waiter that was ranting and raving about his car and slamming doors and threatened me. Later this waiter was fired for assualting a elder lady and stealing, but they told my friend I had several run in at the cantina to lie to their boss. I am a diabled American Vet that does not drink. I think they don't like serving people that don't drink, because we don't run up huge bar tabs and they don't get big tips, so they just refuse to serve you and give you ugly looks and lie slander you in public. It also takes um about thirty minutes to give you a bill after your finish.... Customer service is zero. I talk to the police about this matter. I was told by a friend that the manager said if I enter this public place again I would be assualted. The manager never called me back but instead slandered me... Thank God for diet coke

At the insistance of a ""friend"" showing us around the Charleston area, my husband, another friend and I let him take us there. Having already eaten because this ""friend"" didn't tell us of his plans to eat at Coconut Joe's, I wasn't really hungry enough to eat again and was hard pressed to find something light, and reasonably priced, on the menu. I settled for the tropical wrap, not knowing, because the menu didn't mention it, that they'd come with fries. Had I known, I would've requested vegetables in their place. Or, not ordered anything. I liked the wrap, but thought it, and everything else on the menu, was over-priced.

Pros: Good service

Cons: Over-priced. Mostly fried. Limited choice of sides.
