Old towne has been my favorite place every time I come to Charleston on business. I receive great food and it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. The service is always attentive and I like that you can see the kitchen when you walk in. I also purchase their seasoning and put it on steaks and burgers when I grill out.

Look for the gas lamps and salt water aquarium and you know you're at Old Towne! This used to be my hands down favorite restraunt several years ago, however it's come under new ownership and is not nearly the same quality it once was. The atmosphere is still the same (you feel like you're in an old alley somewhere in greece) but the food isn't the same. The greek chicken is now a little dry and the same with the potatoes, the gyro however is still wonderful. I love the soup/salad/entree system because you always have something in front of you to munch on so you don't notice the wait. I recommend Old Towne, it's just not what it used to be!

PROS: Gyros, soups, and atmosphere
CONS: Gone downhill, chicken isn't the greatest
