It has been closed for a few months now. Currently, only one Boathouse remains....at Breech Inlet on the Isle of Palms. Their restaurant on Harborview Road--James Island--burned. They say they are going to rebuild it. It was less pricey than Breech Inlet.

Bar is lively, and the food is very good. The sushi rolls were really good and the "Baby Lobster" the best. The area is not great for walking nearby, but there is free valet. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and we really liked Sunday Brunch when we went back that Sunday when looking for a place serving a nice brunch. And the best part - yet another very affordable restaurant where you think your royalty!

The food here is excellent. Great side dishes like lobster mashed potatoes and smoked gouda mac & cheese. We had a good waiter. Appetizers came out fast, entrees not so much, but overall still a very good experience. Chocolate mousse cake for dessert looked average, but tasted excellent!

The food is great and so is the service. Alittle pricey but all around good experience.

Pros: unique building, own parking lot, wide seafod variety

Cons: expensive, loud
