We decided to try it because of seeing it on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives and boy did it live up to it's name of "Dives".. This place was very highly overrated and over priced for the amount of food that you receive. Just very average food

The food was OK. The chili burger lived up to its billing. I also had the all-you-can eat Pinto Beans. They were pretty dull - needed a kick of spice. The worst part was the smoking cooks, waitresses and regulars. Also, some friend of the owner and waitresses had a baby in diapers crawling all over the counter where others were eating. Pretty nasty.

Pros: Chili Burger

Cons: Cleanliness

My mom and I went to Harold's to eat - based on their huge billboard on I-85 saying they were featured on Food Network. We quickly determined they were on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" (and that was confirmed by newspaper articles on the wall...) We ordered their specialty - chili burgers. I have to say, it was unique! I wondered if it consisted of just hamburger chili on a bun until I hit what appeared to be a meatball in the middle! Too funny! The chili WAS good and the food was dirt cheap, but don't expect a full sized patty on the chili burger!

It's a "good ole boy" beer joint and pool room. But the food is very good. The burgers are made with tasty chilli and the meat is a round ball in the middle. Nothing like others I've eaten. They are very sloppy and the juice usually runs off you elboes. I usually eat three of four at one setting.

Pros: Good food, Very inexpensive

Cons: Building needs repair, Air quality inside, It's a beer joint
