How do you know when you've entered a top notch consignment shop? It's when you don't know it until they tell you! I had no idea this upscale boutique was a consignment shop until I had been drooling over the beautiful clothes and accessories (all new). Their store is the only one I've shopped in within the past 10 years who have fashion conscious help who will actually help you - and that means you're undressed in the dressing room and they actually go and get more clothes for you! The clothes are stain free and up to date and many designer brands. For a special occasion, you don't feel like you're going to "see youself" like you do if you buy from the rack at the department stores.

PROS: friendly staff, very high end designer brands
CONS: lunch time parking

As a Canadian visitor recently in the South I visited many consignment stores from Atlanta, to Alabama, and over to S. Carolina. Revente is professional, fresh and full of style. They are obviously selective in the merchandise they accept as I saw only better label items in excellent condition. Prices for designer wear and boutique labels were affordable and still a bargain with the exchange on my dollar! Friendly and helpful staff added to my purchase by helpfully finding matches to my choices. Merchandise is displayed creatively and in an appealing manner. Great selection of new jewelry and accessories too. Consignors dropping off clothing and picking up money while I was there all seemed happy with their business dealings. A pleasure to have found this great shop on my travels!

CONS: end of season, selection was low

The clothes here are out of date. While the business advertises itself as the "#1 consignment shop in Columbia," let's face it, there's not much competition. While the college girls living nearby might find a thing or two in here, serious shoppers shouldn't bother. Staff seemed inexperienced to me. Parking near the shop is usually a mess.

Revente is an upscale consignment shop. But that doesn't mean that it's terribly expensive--far from it! You can usually find some good deals on some very nice clothes. They have sales on accessories quite a bit; I've bought some great jewelry here before.

They also offer "designer" clothes; the price tags are high, but the people who'll buy them probably find them reasonably priced as well!

I've never done consignment with them, but it sounds reasonable. If anything, the staff has never been anything but friendly. (Their changing rooms are nice, too!)

Recommended.

PROS: Nice clothes at decent prices.
CONS: Scary prices on designer clothes.

I enjoy visiting Revente because they have great lightly worn trends for reasonable prices. I consign clothes at Revente and this has been successful, too.
