My family was visitng from MO last week and wanted to eat good seafood. Since I had eaten at Cedar Hill Landing before, I recommended it to them. We arrived on Thursday midst a terrible thunderstorm. There were very few people in the restaurant. We waited for 50 minutes for the waitress to take our order. She did not bring our drinks or hushpuppies or attempt to satisfy us while we waited. An Hour later, we received our food. The owner,I think, brought us some silverware and drinks. We had to get up and find someone to get us cream and sugar for our coffee. One member of our party did not receive his meal of a grilled grouper basket. When the rest of the group was almost finished, a basket of huspuppies was brought to our table and a seafood platter was brought to the member whose grouper had not arrived. When we ask about it, the waitress told us the chef had added the extras because he had to wait so long. When we went to check out, after being there for over 2 hours, she charged him the full price of the seafood platter and didn't seem to know how to adjust for the difference. The food was delicious but something has happened to the service, Several people came in and then left. (We should have). I thought it was the storm but in driving home we saw The Marsh Walk was packed. Cedar Hill, whatever your problem is, please get it corrected. I was thoroughly embarrassed by the service and in all of the restaurants we had to choose from in MB, we chose yours. Our waitress acted like she was in a daze. I hope you fix the problem soon.

We were in Murrells inlet for a week, and ate at this resturant 3 times. Great place to eat, nice quiet setting. Corn dodgers rock!

Do not waste your time or hard-earned money going to this dump -- you will be terribly disappointed!! First, we sat and waited quite a long time before our order was taken . . . even after (2) waitresses walked by several times and completely ignored us. Then, the waitress who finally took our order was extremely snobby, rude, uncaring, and inattentive. I did notice, however, that she made sure she took care of a group of golf buddies that were seated near us. And don't even think of asking a question about any of the items on the menu . . . you'll be looked at as if you were completely stupid!!! This place needs a lesson in Southern hospitality. And the food? Horrible and EXTREMELY over priced! My husband had a seafood platter w/a piece of meat they had the nerve to call prime rib and (2) beers. After numerous requests, the waitress never brought out the cole slaw and hush puppies that were supposed to be included with the platter. I had peel 'n eat shrimp (appetizer size) and (1) margarita. Our tab was $72.36!! Oh, and I also had SEVERE indigestion afterwards!! I know you're not supposed to say never, but we will NEVER be back to Cedar Hill! The owners/management should be ashamed for keeping this place open and ripping off their patrons. This is by far THE WORST restaurant in Murrells Inlet -- DINERS BEWARE!! And for those of you that think this restaurant has good food, you obviously don't know what good food is!

What a charming little down home restaurant. They view of the water is awesome and the food is absolutely to die for. My family has been eating here for years now. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The corn dodgers are the best ever!

This place has been around since the late 60's and was known until recently as Nance's Cedar Hill Landing, now it's name is just Cedar Hill Landing & Oyster Roast. It's the same good food I have come to know over the years from childhood to adulthood and continue to enjoy. Service is always good and the prices are affordable. They probably have some of the best tasting roasted oysters in the area.
